View Full Version : World's Happiest Countries

Britain's University of Leicester examined a range of statistical data to devise a ranking of the world's happiest nations. Heading up the list: Denmark, which rose to the top thanks to its wealth, natural beauty, small size, quality education, and good health care. At the bottom were Zimbabwe.
No. 1: Denmark
Population: 5.5 million
Life Expectancy: 77.8 years
GDP Per Capita: $34,600
With a high standard of living, negligible poverty, and a broad range of public and social services, it's easy to see why Denmark tops the happiness map. There's a high level of education; public schools are top-quality and private ones are affordable. The low population gives the nation a strong sense of identity. And Denmark's physical beauty forms a great backdrop to daily life. The weather is a bit tough, though.

Have you noticed that canada has 33million people, when compared to the rest of the top-10 countries. Less people equal more resources and easier structure of resources for the people eg better schools and hospitals.
Canada has the second largest land mas and lots of resources for their people..

Yea I've been to Sweden, its an amazing place. I used to spend all my summer holidays there as a child. So have you started learning the language? I don't think many people know English in rural areas there, the cities yes. Have you decided on any particular place? Its gonna be a big change from the U.S.

The best advice I can give is...When you go to a country on holiday, its a completely different experience to when you actually live there. When I went to Finland for 2 weeks, I absolutely loved it, but when I actually moved there and lived there for 6 months I got so bored I moved back to London. Don't put all your eggs in one basket.

If its a dream go for it. At least you'll never look back and wish you did. The summers in Finland and Sweden are surprisingly pleasant...It does get pretty cold in winters though with lots of snow.
