The people behind DesiDanceParty.com created the ULTIMATE monthly dance party because they saw the need for a NEW PARTY with a NEW VISION. After organizing, marketing, managing, and hosting some of the hottest events New York City has ever seen, there was still something missing. DESI MUSIC !!!
Desi music is an element that has been missing at Desi events for the past few years. When the Desi scene first started back in the early 1990's, the DJ's would play a heavy concentration of Bollywood and Bhangra. As the scene progressed, the DJ's slowly started to play more and more hip hop and non desi music at these events. As the music changed, so did the crowd. People forgot about how good it was to enter a New York City nightclub and hear the latest bollywood remixes, the most upbeat bhangra from the UK, and the old school hindi club classics that we grew up on.
For this reason we have created DesiDanceParty.com. The Desi Dance Party will be held on the first Saturday of every month at New York City's newest nightclub - THE CITY. In the main room, DJ's will play everything from the latest hindi remixes all the way to the classics mixed in with the hottest American Top 40 including hip hop, dance, soca/chutney and reggae music. In our Bhangra room, DJ's will play a heavy mix of UK bhangra, 2 Step Bhangra and hottest South Asian influenced Urban music.
Desi Dance Party is an event for the people. We have created this event for those who desire a sleek and sexy environment , amazing music, and an experience like never before. Desi Dance Party is a place to relax, unwind, and socialize amongst old and new friends.
