"Leaning all over her" - don't you think you're amplifying it?

If it was your average white couple, I doubt you'd be making the same remark.

They made the choice to disown her so I doubt they will be losing any appetite over her.

she seems like a nice girl, its unfortunate that she ended up being with someone her family didnt accept. Now if she ever divorced this guy and got back on the market....she would find it tough to find the type of guy her family would want her to be with.....simply because almost all guys with a lot going for them, would drop her if they found out she had been plowed by a black guy for a few years

You can't blame her for making a choice - It's her parents who forced her into that position - "it's either him or us".

I really doubt they forced her into that position.

Disownment is on both sides of the coin - a difficult situation but yeah she made her choice.

Well there's no point in debating because we both don't really know what went on behind the scenes.

All I can say is that if you live life by the rules, then I'm sure their relationship doesn't make sense.

any pErspective....what you said was retarded...

IMO, when a parent disowns a child, the parent can say whatever, and spew hatred at their child, but to turnoff their love for their child like a lightswitch is impossible.

You can kick your child out of the house, and say you never want to speak to them again....but the genetic bond with one's child is something that will never die. Now some people can disguise their feelings with stubborness...which turn out to be decades worth of seperation between parent and child...but that doesnt mean the parent has turned off all their feelings for their child.

Again, i'm just speaking from personal experience and age...if you don't agree thats fine...

DISOWNING IS "TURNOFFING THEIR LOVE LIKE A LIGHTSWITCH"....

I understand your point but i think your choice of words is off

mathematically:

DISOWNING = HAVING NEVER HAD A CHILD in the parents' eyes = No love (because there is no children in their eyes)

what a person feels and what a person says are two different things...

a parent can say they "disown" their child, can not speak to them, can completely shut them off.....but one cannot turn shut off their heart like that for those that they once loved..epsecially children.

i assume you're not a parent..but have you ever been in love before? I know the love for one's family and love for their partner is a different kind of love...but my point is... if you were to all of sudden break up...would you be able to turn off your feelings like a light switch? I believe most would say not
