Hellboy

born in the flames of hell and brought to Earth to perpetrate evil, Hellboy was rescued from sinister forces by the benevolent Professor Broom, who raised him to be a hero. In Dr. Broom's secret Bureau of Paranormal Research and Defense (B.P.R.D.), Hellboy creates an unlikely family consisting of the telepathic "Mer-Man" Abe Sapien and "Pyrokenetic" Liz Sherman, the woman he loves who can control fire. Hidden from the very society that they protect, they stand as the key line of defense against an evil madman who seeks to reclaim Hellboy to the dark side and use his powers to destroy mankind.

i saw the preview on tv a week ago and it didnt look that appealing to me

GREAT MOVIE!

if ur into xmen, u'll like this trust me.

God vs. Satan. Also very "christian" symbolism...the power of the crucifix, Jesus' "sword", etc.

I would watch it again. It has a lil comedy to it as well. and it's really really really really good.

umm lol i guess im the only one who thought negatively of this movie...not to hate on all u guys that liked the movie but for my own opinion...first of all...dont even think about comparing this movie to X-men...its not nearly as good...and its humor is sooo lame i was gonna die cuz of how stupid some of the jokes were...Hellboys idiotic comments after everything pissed me off soo much...none of the three friends i went with liked it either...it seemed like the climax was rushed and not good enough...i mean if that was a climax u could make an argument that beginning and the middle had climaxes...Hellboy himself looked like some styrofoam/plastic red thing oh god...shall i go on? the acting was sub-par and the plot seemed confusing and the whole christianity and hell thing confused me...and im christian and yet i could find no significance of it...um lets see its not a movie i would spend money at the theatre for...its OK i guess ive seen alot worse but if you are considering it then take another look...I had more fun making fun of the movie than actually watching it...Some homeless bum took 3 bucks from my friend so it was even worse for him lol...he was considering shitting on the walls of the theatre after the movie but we convinced him it was not worth it and that it would horrify us...this movie would have been decent had it been revised a few more times and some good jokes and if a good ending were added...the special effects were pretty cool id say but thats all that goes for it...
