View Full Version : Why are Americans supporting Mccain?

SillyKitty
April 3rd, 2008, 07:20 PM
I dont really get this, because, McCain is all about war, and he has promised to be in war for 100 years. And he has critisized Bush about his Iraq policy, in his opinion, he would put MUCH more Troops. And not just Iraq.. he would also go after the other mid eastern countries.. So i am guessing, he is gonna draft us all in one point or the other..

And to think of how the Economy will be like, gives me nausea.

So, as i was asking, Why do americans want Mccain?

is it just cuz they dont want Hil or Obama?

We are in debt by the trillions already. How exactly is our government planning to finance such excursions, and at what price? Something has got to give eventually, and it doesn't look pretty.

as right-wing as I am, even I'm tired of this bs. This McCain guy just doesn't know what the fuck he's getting himself into. Every time I hear him speak, he only speaks about the war and how he was right about the "surge". Who the fuck cares ? The $ is practically worthless, oil prices are sky-high, home prices are falling, we're in the worst recession since 1929 and this clown is just fuckin' obsessed with bragging about his foreign policy credentials.

The UN is a front.

It becomes easier for US to reign with UN stamp on it.
The UK has better leaders, foreign policy & crooks working hard to keep the world as it is.

Bush is just muscle. What know-how does he have anyhow? The guy flew all the saudi suspects out of US the day of attacks.

I was in agreement until I saw this. I'm from the South and no, we're not all republicans, and no, not all republicans are pro-war. It's this kind of bipartisan mentality that's further destroying the politicial landscape of this country. Trust me, I dislike many Republicans, but I don't want to see them destroyed or anything.

Also, the fact that Americans were stupid enough to vote Bush in for a second term indicates just how braindead they are. It doesn't surprise me at all that McCain is getting so much support, even if he is the very embodiment of a cause that so many people supposedly abhor.

The reason you are hearing all the ruccus about Hil and Bama is because, the Media center of the world which is New york , and La.. are Democrats.. and they will obviously talk about their own party..

Mr. Mccain got 51% of votes..
and Hill got 30 and obama got 19

I swear this obama is just working for his former party (he used to be a Republican) so that the votes will get divided for dems..
cuz they know if Obama wins the Dems ticket Mccain will just have a clean sweep..

the reason Obama won all those states more than Hil (for example Georgia, which is obviously a pure republican state) is because, it will be easier for the republicans to win in the Major Election. All the republicans are voting for Obama right now so he gets the Democratic nomination.

He is a 'realist', but he pushes the humanitarian line too when rallying support for the Iraq war. Essentially political realism is the idea that the world is in a state of anarchy and nation states exercise power for military and economic reasons.
So it's unusual to call him a 'realist' because the reasons he'd give for war are also quite liberal "liberate iraq". If he came out and said that the purpose of the war was solely for economic and military pursuits then he'd promote himself as a realist a lot more.
Plus realists can be both pro-war and anti-war (i consider myself a realist), as long as they see war through that defining principle.

Wrong. Kerry did not support gays and lesbians, but he believed that the power to legalize/prohibit it was constitutionally legislated by the state government, NOT the federal government.

Seriously, you did not do your research. And if this was the only gripe you ever had with Kerry, I don't know what else you can possibly expect in the politics. As much as I am against homosexuality, this was not the primary detail why I did not support Kerry.

In other words, all they do is print a pretty picture on the camera. If someone digs deeper, they realize that its just a paper and there is nothing behind it.

Not to mention Dems are much more hardcore supporters of Israel. :anxious:
