im coming up to brum on friday 15th, checking in to a nice luxury apartment sumwhere in town near the bullring an 2 mins from broad street i think, well thats what ive been told where it is, problem im facing is im here for just a little business wich shud b done by friday afternoonish an then im stuck for 3 days without a clue on wat to do or where to go?? :sarb:
Im coming up with a friend whos gonna disappear an leave me for 3 days and then have to wait for him till monday morning to go back to london together so stupid me thought it wud be a good idea to chill out an see what brum has to offer only lol now i havent got a clue wat im going to do apart from watch tv in the apartment all day, as i hardly know anyone from brum
so any ideas of what to do? or where to go, best place to shop etc, eat out and where to go friday/saturday nite ? oh an need help with safe parking as apartment building only has 10 spaces for parking wiach are all booked out not trying to be big headed or nothing but i drive a car that attracts a fair bit of attention evenmoreso as its got my name smack bang in middle of number plate so its a quite a magnet to lowlife racist scum,

Ummm well seeing as ur from London, this will feel like another country to you. In fact, it wudnt surprise me if u bought ur passport, thinking tht Birmingham was a different country :p
wht u can do is take initiative. You dont need ur friend to hold ur hand nor do u need some sort of travel guide. Simply get up and WALK around Birms n u will see many an attraction and activity to spend ur time.
PS. Our hospitality is great to anyone other than those who feel they are better than us. So if u come across as arrogant and pompass we will deservardly treat u like the piece of shit you are!!

well the question is what do u wanna do?
Name the things u wanna do like clubbing and i guess people will tell u the best places. If you don't have any suggestions then i guess we can all suggest anything as it'd be better than sitting on ur arse in ur room

I have some proper big ass jatt cousins in Bham, three brothers who used to get up to everything back in the day. They're all married now though.
Clubs I've heard good things about the works and oceana.

Ok well, the main spot in birmingham are the bull ring (obviously) good range of stores, not as many as there should be but its got a funky postmodern thing going on there, plus the giant bull made out of jelly babies in selfridges in cool. My cousin who is from london went to the bull ring, he was like wow! lol. The selfridges in the bull ring is alwaysa good place to if your bored, its got a lot of random funky stuff there. but beware, you will enter one way into the bulll ring and then end up somewhere else, it was really confusing at first to everyone when it 1st opened, but thats how the place is built.
Ok for asian stuff you should go to Ladypool road for food, Lahore Karahi and Lahore Lahore have really good food (IMO) and its not far from town, just hop on the bus and it will take you near enough there.
Small Heath is like little pakistan, so its Stratford Road in Sparkhill, theres some good take away places there though. Plus if you wanna see where britney's new dude is from then its only a bud ride away lol.
Avoid Lozzels& Perry Barr, biggest shit holes ever.
Broad Street is good for nightlife, the works night club is full of loadsa paki boys who act all stupid to get attention, so avoid there. Oceana nightclub is a good place to go for a good night, its near the defunkt chinatown which you'll be able to see from the "World Famous Indoor Market" which is right next to the bull ring. Everything is pretty much adjacent.
If the weather is good, go to cannon hill park (right opposite the edgebaston cricket grounds) its the only decent park i know of.
If you wanna watch a movie then go to AMC cinema, you'll be able to see it from broad street, its a super nice cinema where the admission ticket is only £3.50. Ooo Yeah.
Ermm thats all i can think of atm, if you need anymore info them just PM me :)
