For the Guys, how do you know when you're in love versus infatuation/lust?
What kind of girl makes her fall into the wifey material/makes you wanna commit to her/be serious and stop playing the field?
How do you know when you've fallen out of love?

you're in love when you're willing to sacrifice your own heart for theirs to be happy, when you will gladly accept and face any pain and struggle, when you would mentally and physically go through hell and back for them.

Does it really have to get that intense in order to call it love?

Yes. Until the belief doesn't get in ur head that you'll tear every limb from ur body before you even let a scratch on ur loved one, it's not called love.
At least that's how punjabi guys describe it. We ain't smooth talkers but we're the best lovers.

why is it some guys always refer to love in the context of pain and violence. Love is so much more...then protecting a love one from harm...or killing anyone who would touch her....

He never talked about killing other ppl when gangsters are raping her. He is talking about sacrifices which could be giving up things you like to spend more time with her, it is thinking about her wellbeing first before yourself.

love is a term that humans made in order to make the fact, that all we really feel is caused by us trying to find a good reproduction partner, a prettier thing

That's how WE associate love. For women, love is in the details, whether the guy keeps the door open, remembers anniversaries and/or her fav chocolates. For guys, the greatest nightmare is to have something horrendous happen to a loved one, hence we relate THAT happening to us if it means our loved one is safe.
It's just a guy thing. :dunno:

People will do that for friends, family and others too
How does that love differ from like life partner love??

A real woman. Not a bitchy, cry-baby gold digger. A woman who'll love the guy as much as if he gets her an itsy-bitsy tv in a small one-bed apt, or a flat screen massive tv in a mansion. When love transcends above the physical and material, and becomes spiritual....that's when you can say you're in love.

no, they just realize that they're capable of pulling far more attractive and appealing women-- doesn't it suck to be second-last resort? the last resort being fat chicks, of course.

well im not a guy, but wouldnt you know if you were in 'love'? i mean if you have been infactuated by someone in the past, but this seems different then maybe it is love...but if its a similar feeling then it may just be infactuation again.
Also, everyone im sure has different perspectives in what they see as 'wifey material' but im sure most guys look for a gal who they get on with the most, apart from other requirements they may have. You are def in 'love' if you are willing to be serious for a person, and stop playing your field...and there's nothing wrong with this...but rather it may just be for the best, and if you really do love her...then you would want to be in a committed relationship with her too.
You know you have fallen out of 'love' when the person doesnt matter to you no more, but if you still think about them, and wish to be with them...then your still in love...
i knw this is verrry long, but hope it gave you 1 perspective to look at...
