Hmm, so, I think we girls need a topic solely for  :chick: us girls. It is because our interests might not always align with other topics being discussed in the General Chat section or we're bored and want to talk about other stuff, girlie stuff and yes even irrational stuff.

And I thought it would be mucho nice and wonderful in fact to have some breathing space just for ourselves where girls can discuss anything and everything we want to. THIS IS FOR ALL GIRLS ONLY. :grouphug:

#1 Rule: No topics are off-limits or barred.

(Men, if you open this topic and then proceed to post, well, that's just sad. But I can understand the curiosity. Still:  Shoo)

Blah; I hate being sick. It is almost as bad as being on PMS. Have you been to a doctor to get it checked out or using anything cause it might be an infection?

um we haven't talked about it exactly, he's told me that i'm the type of girl that he wants to marry, and says he finds me more intelligent and responsible than the other girls he's dated, and the fact that I haven't done drugs sets me apart from most of the types he's dated. He's done drugs too, while he was in high school and community college, but he got clean a year before he met me. Says if I ever resort to drugs he'd leave me... how unfair

Dude, we had a couple of that in our high school. And surprise: Always before a test. We had to sit out in the stadium while the whole school was checked. Like what the heck?

But yeah, I can imagine it is scary. But it always seemed to me that a person who really intended to bomb a school would do it rather than informing on the phone. That seems kind of dumb considering everything nowadays is traceable.

lol yeah, i'd never do it thought. and he has respect for me cuz i haven't. People in college do drugs for different reasons. My boyfriend always makes fun of people up here (I go to school up north, and he's from near decatur, further south in Illinois) because they do drugs for petty reasons and because it makes them look hardcore. People down south do drugs for an entirely different reason, its because they deal wit ha lot more shit than petty college boys do, and its how they cope.

Lol I talk to his mom a lot. In fact I talk to her more than my other friends, in fact she's the only person I talk to a lot, mainly because I'm not much of a phone talker, and she is lol.

we got one too at the end of last semester. In fact it was on the day of our first final, and that final got moved to Friday. I was so pissed off.

Anyway, some idiot guy thought it would be hilarious to carve a reference on the bathroom wall to the Virgina Tech bombing and something about how next time it won't happen like virgina tech... so school got closed because of that.

Seriously, if he wanted to bomb the school or kill people, what idiot would carve it in the bath room.

My boyfriend used to live in texas when he went to grade school, and the high school near his school had a shooting. This couple had a fight and broke up, and the next day, she walked in the school cafteria and shot her boyfriend right there in front of everyone.

School shootings have been happening even before columbine... so yeah.

Nothing much; I'm going to straighten my hair in thirty minutes or so. Thinking about getting bangs--probably not though because I'm afraid of having a bad haircut. Lol. This reminds me of a funny story: I remember once I went when in middle school to a beuaty parlor all excited to have highlights. And I specifically said brown highlights evenly distributed. You won't believe it, but this hairdresser gives me blonde highlights in black hair. Like WTH? Can you imagine that? I looked like a freakozoid! I was so freaked out, and yes, crying.

eek...blow dry it if ur gonna straghten it ... it makes straightening easier i feel...my hair used to be disgustingly long..like straght down to my lower back right above my butt lol. n then i cut it ...get like side sweep bangs..those look cute on just about everyone...theyre long enought that it doesnt look bad at all..and if u wanna go shorter u can experiment as they cut ur hair. :-D

as far as my knee is concerned i got xrays taken but they didnt see any broken bone pieces, n the pain went away..n then i never followed up with any other doc cuz i jes never had time...so now its jes like...i deal with it wen it happens, take some painkillers wen its bad and sleep it off.

Congratulations! Celebrations on the upcoming nuptials! :D

Oh, God! There has to be something you can do... You can't go to your wedding with glasses--that absolutely must be the last option! Oh, I'm so sorry... Maybe you can see an opthomologist? Or you could just try not wearing any contacts/glasses? Dudette, this has to suck.

The only thing I can do is hope that it goes away!!:( My doc is the one who told me i cant wear my contacts....but hes a guy...he doesnt understand my wedding issues lol.

Thank u for the congrats!

See, if I blow dry my hair though, wouldn't it dry my hair out? And I want it to be healthy... Do you know what I can use potentially to keep it from drying out...like any good products? Lol. I would want to look at my dulha too, especially if the idiot is going to look anywhere besides me. :squint:

But yeah, I am hoping there is something you can do. Like maybe wear breathable contacts (don't remember the brand but they are new on the market) that can perhaps be an option if you go check out an opthamologist and get his recommendation?

this is what u do...use paul mitchell moisturizer shampoo and then the conditioner. when u get outta the shower, towel dry your hair, use either like a dime size drop of paul mitchell super skinny serum or spray some heat seal on ur hair wen its damp...it completely speeds up the amt of time that it takes for ur hair to dry and completely reduces the frizziness and smoothes the texture of ur hair..and then when its dry jes straighten it...also with the product , the straightener does less damage to ur hair :-D

God, you're so lucky. This stupid camera that I had bought is really stupid; it only lasts two to three hours on Duracell on Energizers, which are supposed to be the best batteries around. I hate, hate, hate my camera. Too bad I'm stuck with it though cause the return policy is pretty much over.

me too...well it depends..always vblow dry ur hair with product in it, never alone...Paul mitchell works amazing with me and im absolutely in love iwth the product line...my best friends sister works at a salon and cuts hair and all that for pocket money, and shes licenced...and shes the one that actually recommended it to me.

it depends on the type of ur hair as far as wat you want to use but ive found the best thing that works for me is paul mitchell "strength" shampoo, because my hair used to be weak and break/fall out easily...and the conditioner...and then spray paul mitchell heat seal on semi damp hair...then blow dry it out til its dry...to which ur hair feels soo soft...then just straighten it...if u want u can spray just a lil bit more and run ur hands thru ur hair to spread it. then straighten it...it feells and looks sooo nice afterwards. and dont put too much cuz then it feels sticky bah

another thing, always clean ur straghtener...like once a week or somthing depending on howoften u use it, especially wen u put product in ur hair lol

But I'm hoping it will be like where I meet the person and he meets me and we really like each other and then we get nikahofied. And do the dating bit after marriage. Select the links for more info on any particular step, or use the blue navigation bar on the left to proceed through the writing steps. How To Write an Essay can be viewed sequentially, as if going through ten sequential steps in an essay writing process, or can be explored by individual topic.

1. Research: Begin the essay writing process by researching your topic, making yourself an expert. Utilize the internet, the academic databases, and the library. Take notes and immerse yourself in the words of great thinkers.

2. Analysis: Now that you have a good knowledge base, start analyzing the arguments of the essays you're reading. Clearly define the claims, write out the reasons, the evidence. Look for weaknesses of logic, and also strengths. Learning how to write an essay begins by learning how to analyze essays written by others.

3. Brainstorming: Your essay will require insight of your own, genuine essay-writing brilliance. Ask yourself a dozen questions and answer them. Meditate with a pen in your hand. Take walks and think and think until you come up with original insights to write about.

4. Thesis: Pick your best idea and pin it down in a clear assertion that you can write your entire essay around. Your thesis is your main point, summed up in a concise sentence that lets the reader know where you're going, and why. It's practically impossible to write a good essay without a clear thesis.

5. Outline: Sketch out your essay before straightway writing it out. Use one-line sentences to describe paragraphs, and bullet points to describe what each paragraph will contain. Play with the essay's order. Map out the structure of your argument, and make sure each paragraph is unified.

6. Introduction: Now sit down and write the essay. The introduction should grab the reader's attention, set up the issue, and lead in to your thesis. Your intro is merely a buildup of the issue, a stage of bringing your reader into the essay's argument.

(Note: The title and first paragraph are probably the most important elements in your essay. This is an essay-writing point that doesn't always sink in within the context of the classroom. In the first paragraph you either hook the reader's interest or lose it. Of course your teacher, who's getting paid to teach you how to write an essay, will read the essay you've written regardless, but in the real world, readers make up their minds about whether or not to read your essay by glancing at the title alone.)

7. Paragraphs: Each individual paragraph should be focused on a single idea that supports your thesis. Begin paragraphs with topic sentences, support assertions with evidence, and expound your ideas in the clearest, most sensible way you can. Speak to your reader as if he or she were sitting in front of you. In other words, instead of writing the essay, try talking the essay.

8. Conclusion: Gracefully exit your essay by making a quick wrap-up sentence, and then end on some memorable thought, perhaps a quotation, or an interesting twist of logic, or some call to action. Is there something you want the reader to walk away and do? Let him or her know exactly what.

9. MLA Style: Format your essay according to the correct guidelines for citation. All borrowed ideas and quotations should be correctly cited in the body of your text, followed up with a Works Cited (references) page listing the details of your sources.

10. Language: You're not done writing your essay until you've polished your language by correcting the grammar, making sentences flow, incoporating rhythm, emphasis, adjusting the formality, giving it a level-headed tone, and making other intuitive edits. Proofread until it reads just how you want it to sound. Writing an essay can be tedious, but you don't want to bungle the hours of conceptual work you've put into writing your essay by leaving a few slippy misppallings and pourly wordedd phrazies..

You're done. Great job. Now move over Ernest Hemingway — a new writer is coming of age! (Of course Hemingway was a fiction writer, not an essay writer, but he probably knew how to write an essay just as well.)

Lol. I would want a seven-day thing where we first do just fun stuff for the family and people who are coming like a picnic, second day would be just like going out and having fun like to a restaurant and movie, the third day would be like going to the beach and doing some barbecue, the fourth day would be the lingerie party where only girls get to have fun by getting dressed and talking about silly marriage stuff, fifth would be mehndi, sixth would be shaadi party (from the girl's side), and then seventh would be valeema.

Oh, lol, you never know... They might actually be in love. :dunno:

I know, right? Me is dreaming.

Lol. I do love weddings and the money collected. Yay! But seriously, something of the scenario that I described of the one-week kinda thingy happened at my cousin's wedding. And it was loads of fun.

Checking out--uff, that is the one thingy me gets irritated with. In fact, the only bad thing at my cousin's wedding was there was this one stupid guy who I ran after for the shoe of the groom, and the a-hole was flirting with me and catching my hand and blah-blah Bollywoodish style. I seriously wanted to slap him; but instead, my male cousin told the dude to f-off later. Fun stuff.

Wait. I had a question. How much does it generally cost? And how often do you blow-dry your own hair (because I have to limit myself for the fear that my hair will dry out or I'll have split ends)?
haha sry...i went add for a bit. llol

umm..i usually blw dry my hair out like every 3-4 days or so and i usually straighten my hair like once a week usually. sometimes more..the most ill do it is like 2x a week or so. i alternate with straght n curly hair, sometimes ill do my hair curly with other products, sometimes ill use a curling iron, if im tryin to go dressy...sometimes i jes tie it up in a bun n leave it like that for a day or two if im feeling bummy...it depends on my mood really

and the products cost like anywhere from $8-30 dependin on the product, the type of product and where you buy it.

Wrong, Chunky-Punky. I think Chunky and TheDude need to go into the kitchen while I watch them cook deliciousamo meals. And then they both need to set the table too.

And yuk, I don't like pies.

Oh, and while you and TheDude are there, you might as well do the grocery shopping.

Oh, and something else: Chunky-Punky, you haven't answered the question... Do you have a girl in you?

Nah--just RD for now. But God, I have to clean up my room too. It is such a mess right now. Makes me just wish that there was a robot that could do stuff like that.

What songs are you listening to? Any ones out good?

Meh.

I'm playing cupid between two friends of mine. What sucks most is that I actually like the dude but never really took the initiative to do anything about it and now I'm trying to help him and one of my freinds get together.

I don't know.

And every fucking guy I usually end up really liking and liking me back is usually a gigantic fucking pothead that doesn't go to school and is a complete burnout.

Like fucking holy hell! I fucking hate it.

Lol. I am sorry. I actually remember liking a person that my friend liked too. And I knew the guy liked me too. But since I can't do anything about my liking, I helped her and him get together too. They didn't last long, but it was for a good cause. Meh; life sucks sometimes and you get over it. But she doesn't know, right? Cause I never told my friend.

And yeah, life sometimes suck.

 is what you need.

Yeah, I don't know why I like the kinds of guys I do, but I do. :dunno: I'm a stupid girlie :chick: creature. :sadblink:
