im a bio major...wanting to become a doctor (desi i noe...but its sumtin i want to do) im in my second yr...and i noe marriage changes everything....i dun want to be Dependant on my husband at all...alreadii spent my life dependin on my mommy and daddy...i'm kind of seeing this kid now...normally i dun think abt the future wen im wid someone...but hes really into me gettin an education...told me striaght up that if me and him do get serious then my education will be more important than him....normally guys i meet dont say that...theres more to him but i dun wanna talk abt that too much...all i noe is if my husband gets in the waii of my studyin then hes not really worth it...

Definitely put yourself and your education first. Don't sink into the pressures of the desi standards of when a daughter should be married off. You're so young, you have your whole life ahead of you to be someone's housewife and have children. Live a bit without being constrained to your in-laws rules and whatnot.
Think of the scenario: no career and only household chores, taking care of children and standing at the beck 'n call of the in-laws... that just sounds depressing. You wouldn't want to live the next 60 years of your live this way.
