I was having a conversation with a friend about the difference between loving someone and being in love with them.
He thought both ideas were one in the same.
I've always thought of them as different.
Maybe the difference I'm seeing is due to the gender difference between my friend and I.

What's your take on the difference between love and being 'in love'?

Love is when you care for someone a lot, aka loving your parents, brothers, sisters, etc.

i dont know how to define Falling in love.. It's just a feeling... when it happens, then you know your in love.. you kno what im saying?

So theres no option of loving the person you're 'in love' with?
What happens when the 'in love' phase wears off... is there love or is it over?
