hey guys,
what is the situation out there for desis in the UK? I hear a lot of people talking about racism and such but wanted to hear it from you guys firsthand. Is it as bad as they say and with violence? I'm looking to go to graduate school in the London area or possibly Warwick. what is it like compared to the US, especially the midwestern US?
not to say racism is non existent here but the most i've heard is name calling and violent acts but even these can be rare(and of course depend on where you live). but living here in kansas is driving me f**king insane - it's so damn boring, people are generally nice but stupid and talk about the damn weather all the goddamn time. im seriously considering going to the uk for this reason and know for a fact there's smarter people but dont know much about the lifestyle.
