Doesn't quite beat dental torture, but it's the next best thing! ;)

If the above doesn't land you the job, I recommend drilling the interviewer a new hole until he gives in =)

Something like this minus the lunging neckline. I love pencil skirts that drop just below the knee. Maybe you can pair it up with a white or colored shirt so it doesn't look so severe.

wrap tops are pretty forgiving for any body type. don't wear a pencil skirt if you've got generous hips, go with an A-Line. i dunno if it's too cold where u are for skirts, but don't do the super wide leg pants that are in right now. you don't need to look trendy, you just need to look smart. so go on the safe side and wear straight cut pants.

anyways your shoes have to be pointy.

yeah come to think of it, this is the right length of skirt. mines is a little too short.

You know, I've always liked the hourglass figure created by pencil skirts + hips. If I wear something that hits my hips and stays at that width all the way down, it just makes me look bulkier. At least with the pencil skirt and a fitted top my outline comes in @ the waist and knees giving me more of a curvy figure and makes me look less like a giant block of flesh.

yeah you have to try it on and see how it looks. i don't really have curves so i find the narrowing of a pencil skirt as it goes down makes me look curvier; same effect as skinny jeans. i guess what i meant to say is that if you're a pear shape you should stay away.

Ah, fair enough. I can never wear skinny jeans. On me they'd be called tapered. :(

Thanks, girls. I can't do the pointy shoes. I tried today. I keep trying.. I never liked them on my feet. Maybe because mine are large? I dunno. :ashamed: But I ended up with a few things.. pants, blazer, skirt. looks pretty good. :thumleft:

I think it depends on how professional the enviroment of your work is.

If its laid back then I suggest casual clothes or a pencil skirt with a nice business jacket.

If theres a strict dress code then you should go with dressy pants and a suit jacket.

The shoes... either high heeled but not too heeled .. you need to walk remember.

Yea, especially when paired with a tie. Unless there's gaping cleavage and nose-bleed stilettos, you're going to look like a stodgy librarian.

sometimes that look is necessary.

they don't care if you look trendy or feminine - the best look might be boring, neat and professional.
