Hi. Long time reader, first time poster.

I found this in a fitness forum.

A guy, 22, wants to have sex with a girl who's 16. I'm the dad of a 1 year old daughter. I am worried about her enough as it is, but I cant think of how much I'd worry about this if this was my daughter. I'm angry about this guy doing this, am I right to be angry? What would you do if your daughter was in this situation?

I personally think 16 is a bit too young to give consent to a 22 year old.

some older guys take advantage of girls, especially naive ones lacking in self esteem. I knew girls back in high school convinced that 25 year old guys were in love with them and weren't just using them for sex. Guess how things turned out for them.

umm actually what he's doing is against the law . Yeah they're 16 but they can't have sexual intercourse with anyone over 18. So yeah they are legal to have sex but not legal with him . But nowadays no one really reports that. whatever it's up to them right .

this girl was apparently 16...and yes there ARE couples that have a 10 year or + gap between them but when the girl is married she's ATLEAST about 18 if not older, and that's being a bit more mature than a 16 year old, who only wants to be with an older guy coz it makes her feel older and more matured too.

trust me, we've all been through that phase where we think we know it all, but looking back at it now, you know you knew NOTHING.

I think the original poster needs to find something else better to do than to worry about who's sleeping with whom. As long as people aren't being harassed what is your problem?

If it makes you feel any better when I was 26 a 17 year old wanted to go out with me. It just so happened though that she wasn't really interested in a rleationship, just wanted some older guy to take away her virginiity. So I did. Very physical relationship, ended soon enough... big deal.

Maturity varies from person to person. I've seen 30 year olds behave like 16 year olds and vice versa.

Generally when guys are young they like older ladies... it's the appeal of being with an experienced lady. Then at some point (after you become experienced with ladies or your hand) suddenly you like teens... maybe it's because they are sexually innocent and you can please them in ways they didn't know was possible.

Being with a 16 year old is fair game. As long as there is more than a physical attraction between both people (I'm a big believer in sex after marriage so I don't think casual sex is ever right even with over 16's, but that's another topic). There's a lot worse stuff that's accepted these days; homosexuality and adultery.

Anyway it's a fact that at the age of 30 ladies become a lot hornier.

If you have a daughter in that age range then it puts it in a different perspective. For those of us who won't have a daughter for another 15 years, it's only contemporary laws and a mass social paranoia that keeps us from enjoying what has been thought acceptable long before you shook a finger at it.

I check younger girls out all the time (no pedo/pervert - yes guilty pleasure), I'm not saying I go out looking for that, but hey, if its there and they're flaunting it, thongs out and shit (thumbs up mtv:Pelvic2:), why not? ;)
