WHICH stupid questions?
just look at the Answers and tell me that doesnt make u confused...
People have 10 different answers.. what does that say?
it says that we ALL gotta ask and know the "right answers"
you guys are Full of shit..
IF your parents taught you the right answers.. why cant you answer it with 100% accuracy? why do u have to put "THINK" or "I belive" in your answers?
get outta the thread if u dont have the freakin answers.. :blahblah:
and people who dont know jack shit about Ramadan shouldnt be even POSTING there..
I think they just have this notions of thinking " oh i must be lookin really smart now that i am criticizing these people.. even though i dont know shit about Islam"

You asked three questions, only one of them had different answers which was if "you're able to wash your mouth during fasting."
Most people were criticizing you when you asked this question " Is it ok to kiss and "stuff" after Iftar?"

Based on what Nayeem said.. I would agree that most of the responses were similar, at most with some alterations. I just said things I learned from a halqa about Ramadan that I attended... The woman teaching gave references to things we are allowed, and not allowed to do. But it really does have to do with your logic if you look at it as a whole.

I gave you a sure answer on the mouth wash... you can't! You get the flavour in your mouth. Apart from doing wudu, nothing should really go in your mouth. Miswak is allowed though. If you're worried about seeing people and what not and needing a clean mouth, miswak will keep your mouth clean.
And the fast is based on your niyat/intentions. Doing the dua would be better, but if you forget its okay. Just try not to forget!.

Exactly. And if your not too sure what might break your roza .ie using mouthwash, then dont use it.
Anyways, your mouth shouldnt stink anyways. Not like your eating strong flavoured food all day.

Y'all know me, I don't hold anything back concerning Islaam so here are your answers..
Q1. after Sehri, i didnt really recite any dua's i rarely recite the Fasting Dua'.. is it ok? is my Roza still good?
Yes, but it may be deficient
Q2. Is it ok to kiss and "stuff" after Iftar?
You aren't married, which makes any relationship you have with the opposite sex HARAAM regardless if it's "after ifar" or not. I don't think your boyfriend is muslim either, if I remember correctly, and even if he was, it still wouldn't be ok.
Q3. Is it ok to rinse my mouth with mouth wash in the middle of the day? since u know we gotta work.. and stuff.. and have to meet people..
Yes, but you should be careful not to swallow it.
we are engaged.. and he converted.
and thanks for ur answers.

I will be a hypocryte right now if I say to you 'Oh no you shouldnt date blah blah' Coz yes I admit I have/do do it. I kept my mouth shut about this coz if I did say anything I would be a hypocryte.
I am not going to judge you coz you are in a relationship. At the end of the day its your life.
All I am going to say is, if you are fasting and devouting yourself in prayers this month, try and control your horniness.

It's irrelevant,
as I stated ... if you were unmarried at the time, it'd be considering sinful by islam regardless of time
you asked for the rules, not the adherence by followers

Cuz my aunt told him to be with me he gotta convert. cuz my dad wont ever accept him if he doesnt.
So hes converted only because he has to? Does he follow any aspect of islam?
I am asking this, simply because I have been in a situation where someone said they would convert if they can marry me. I said no, simply because it would actually mean nothing to him.
**bambina**
September 14th, 2007, 12:12 PM
I think a better question would be why they won't just get married already so they don't have to worry about these technicalities...
but whatever I can't even judge her cause' I'm not innocent in this matter myself, lol, not at all...but if I knew my girl was wifey material and we were both ready to take that step, I wouldn't waste one second.
I am not judging her, I just want to know the reason for him to convert to islam.
I know people that have converted but do not actually practice any aspect of it.

well i told him not to if he doesnt want to...
he was like..he wants to especially after knowing that we have the same GOD as Christians... but wants to know more about the Fundamental difference about the religions.
so i told him that Jewish , Christians, Muslims have a lot of things similar.. except for some parts.. like the Jewish people dont belive in Jesus being the son of God, and they dont belive in Muhammad(Pbuh).. and christians dont belive in Muhammad(Pbuh)..
where Muslims belive in Moses Jesus, AND Muhammad(Pbuh) and another main difference is.. Muslims dont belive that GOD had any son.. so We belive that Jesus's another prophet who came before Muhammad(Pbuh)
and we DONT belive that Jesus is the Saviour. etc.
and the other things.. but i want to know MORE so i can teach him more.. about Islam
**bambina**
September 14th, 2007, 12:35 PM
So what? We should encourage any and everybody to accept Islaam, regardless if they practice or not...declaration of faith is what ultimately gets us into the garden, our deeds and everything else come after...her boyfriends case is no different.
Somebody can fast with the muslims, pray with the muslims, given zakat with the muslims, even go off to jihaad with the muslims...but if they never bore witness in the oneness of Allah(swt) and the messengership of Muhammad(saw) then none of that would even matter, in fact their deeds would be like a "mountain of ashes."
What if the declaration of faith was half heartedly? I know If you convert someone to islam theres alot of sawaab... But what if you convert someone who actually doesnt really want to but has to?
I am not saying she is wrong in doing so. She knows her bf more then we do.
**bambina**

And I am talking about people who actually convert to make it easier for them to marry the girl oe guy. They dont or wont actually refer or call themslef muslims.

THanks SIs..:)
just keep us in ur prayers..that we can be good muslims.. and yes, i had some coworkers of mine who became interested in ISLAM, because one day i think i went there after a Jumma prayer, with my Hijab on.. so this guy comes up to me asking me about Islam.. and that he has been interested in Islam for a while now..so now even more... ( i think its cuz i was wearing the Hijab, it actually draws MORE attention towards you then the other way around)
So then i spoke to him.. and Gave him a Booklet.. too bad i dont work anymore.. Because we used to have talks about Religion.. with some of my coworkers.. some are REALLY into "the Born again" this one lady every other words she says is Jesus this Jesus that..and I love you..
