Well obviously it's going to be hard to get a job, it's London after all. As for social integration, people whom don the headscarf are seen as outcasts for the most part.

I'm being honest, but there are opportunities aplenty, I'm not saying that for you it'll go the same way as I've stated, but the majority are that way. You have to make yourself doubly outstanding in that it's hard for a resident in London to get a job, all the while those whom wear the headscarf are less likely to get one.

If you are good at what you do and can prove it youll get the job. London is pretty open minded in terms of its work ethic and background. As with any major city, there are challenges, but overall its no where as near as bad as what some people think...in fact its not bad at all. Yes Muslims globbaly dont have the best of reputations, but in a civilised and pretty open and tolerant place like London, you shouldnt have many issues.

In terms of your outfits, if your going to be going on the tube in full kit with ruck sack expect some very disgruntled and shocked passengers.......but overall use your head and respect the laws of the land where you are......and youll be ok. Dont try and make it your country and bring your way of life to others whom may not like it, but try and respect where you are going how the local traits and try to do some basic integration if you can...pretty simple really......(not saying you'd do any of the above btw)

lol who said france was super bad? France is fine, they just have higher levels of tolerancy/rules.
It's quite Laissez Faire out here in London.

to be honest

all the hijabi's ive seen here are so fake. Like, they all wear headscarf, but then wear short sleeve blouses . What the heck? okay maybe its just the Bengali crowd that ive noticed doing that. I went to my nieces wedding yesterday and all the hijabis wore short sleeves but full on covered their hair --

you shouldn't let the minority speak for the majority, 'cos there are plenty of hijabis who wear the hijab correctly with the correct intentions [i personally have some lovely hijabi friends...and they happen to be british aswell].
if you were to wear the hijab properly, or didn't wear short sleeved tops yourself or genuinely trying to be a good muslimaah, [or atleast abiding by the basic halaal-haraam] then its understandable you bitching/getting offended by those 'hijabis' who wear the hijab improperly, or else it comes across as kinda hypocritcal.

its not as bad as you think not all employers dont mix their professional work with their petty personal issues, there are alot of means to get jobs like for example the black and ethnic minority enterprises etc... but i wouldnt reccomend applying for a law job in the next few weeks, as im not sure if you heard but that nutter gurl that got clocked with the mp3 player behind her headscarf, really did hit a legal nerve or two, lucky monkey even escaped the punishment...i would have stuck her in alcatraz for a week or so and made a fake lawn so that she could mow it as her chores!!

Yeh she escaped it but the idiot didn't make Islam look any better. The ignorant non-muslim sods now think that Muslims have it easy and get away with things like this.

well thats the problem you see, people are selfish and they think islam is just for them and when they get caught they say'who are you to complain' but then dumb nimconpoops (i think thats how you spell it) shud realise that wearing a hijab isnt like wearing a tie or uniform to work...you cant just take it off, once the damage is done its done....baam the media will hit it hard, and then the actuall indvidual never will get any punishment and will just ride the wave and move on!!!

vowwww.

BDzFinEst... tonny innit? something close. i know it. regardless. i think the hijabi/ho-jabi factor comes into play everywhere, we have that here too. but there's a mix of everything. its a balance. there are ho-jabi's so there must be hijabis too. naw mean? lol wow, horrible example.

wait whats the nutter story of the girl who got clocked in the head??
