I've sorta noticed that this is turning into an epidemic, like a very serious one.

Now I know you'll get a few different types of Desis lads in different areas, but in the overwhelming majority of Desified areas, this infestation is becoming all too apparent.

The lingo, slit eyebrows, shaven line through their head, spikes, pants being swallowed up by the ground etc is spreading like wildfire as a stage one. Even those converting to this only to conform, seem to eventually have their personality tuned into rudebwoi Tupac braap braap mode and reach the VEE II PEE BRUV stage 2.

If I had a son who turned out like some of those idiotic airheads, I'd thump the sense into him. My feeling is though, that this would be in vain, as in a few generations, the vast majority of Desi lads will make us hit some sort of shameful retarded low and that the two types of Desi males in this country will be rudebwois and freshies.

Don't get me wrong, the earlier connection between their appearance and their personality is a generalisation, and there'll be a few of you with slit eyebrows or whatever who wouldn't classify yourselves in their category, but the stereotype does seem to hold in a large percentage of cases.

Any thoughts ma mandems? (or gyaldems)

I couldn't really give a damn about how they dress or their hairstyles because most of us have gone through fashion phases at one point or another...but what really amazes me is the language. How can you even get through the day when you talk like a twat the whole time.

my brother still speaks like a ghetto dweller when he is on the phone to his boyz.

however, when he goes to work he does the proper talking and he is anything but dumb/stupid/uneducated, however, i do understand what you mean..the majority of them have no aspirations re. education and getting a decent job, many think that they will become rich the way people like 50 cent and doctor dre have, though to be fair, the doctor has been doing his thang for a lot longer than 50.

there arent many desi boys these days who seem to have their heads screwed on right these days, though they too will learn in time.

as people mentioned above everyone go through the phases, most of us tend to leave the phases and move on next trend as we grow older.

there is also the fact of where people grew up, obviously places like east and south London boys have get more influenced by the surroundings, as quoted being a rudeboi is so "gansta" and "cool".

saying that i have seen asian boys and girls in their mid 20s who act like they are 16 with the dress sense and lingo, all you can do at the point is laugh.

I was sorta leaning more towards the language, but you do see Desi youths in their late twenties still sporting the "ghetto" clothing.

I honestly don't see how some of them can have a conversation and keep a straight face after listening to themselves.

There are people who keep the lingo etc just for their local mates, but a disturbingly high percentage of them don't actually seem to realise that its generally not how people are meant to converse with others. That and "keepin it real bluzdz, not changin for nobodeh, getmeh," adds to them being oblivious to other people thinking they're dicks.

Bullshit on all counts.

Killing them will help as they will no more (joke, OK? Chill)

Also, it bugs the fuck out of me when people say 'don't blame the kids' - are you not responsible for your own actions at the end of the day? Sure you can be influenced, but at the end of the day its you who shapes you, not society! If that were the case, I'd probably be a pill-popping gangsta by now, but I'm obviously not.

As I should have mentioned, there are those where this is just a phase, just because they had to conform to a few of "der manz at der endz" at one time or another. However this problem is not just confined to the stereotyped "ghetto" areas anymore, its becoming somewhat of a culture for Asian kids, and some of them actually appear to be 27/28 and still acting like a bunch of complete planks.
