A lot of people think they are just rapping quickly but there is a lot more to it. If you listen to the lyrics carefully- it just shows how much effort and skill is required to produce.
Anyone who has never listened to Uk grime before I recommend you do a you tube search for Kano and listen to some of his tracks. His flow and lyrics are top notch.

Kyza Smirnoff (BEST UK RAPPER WITHOUT A DOUBT, BEST FLOW & LYRICS)
Kano (he's is the Jay-z of UK and I don't like Jay-z)
Jehst (Better flow than most, but lives in Kent??)
Me!! (I'm in the studio recording soon, so you gottta wait)
Shakillone (Shak started young, has the second best flow I've heard, and he's also from my area, big future for him)
Ghetto (Extremely diverse flow, one of the best, shame about his teeth)
Crazy Titch (that fucker shot down Richie (R.I.P) so fuck this prick!!)
 HOPE YOU LIKE THE 30 YEAR SENTENCE YOU BITCH!
Mr Skriblah (Terrafirma member, sometimes he's really good or average)

The hype in the music, in the beat, in the flow.
But in reference to what you're talkin about, it's a hard market to make money, but it can be made despite that.

I make most my living from selling other people's music, and thats with minimal effort, having other priorities of other jobs and university, but the music is where I make most of it.
I know hustlers out there who pay for the rent on their homes by sellin music on streets.
Look at the people who own record stores in town, eg, the people I work for, Deal Real, they're absolutely minted !
Its your perception of how much money you need thats got you bitchin, cos quite frankly, for people out there sellin on a daily grind, they love doin what they do and they make enough money to live a good life. It aint about greed, and thats what differenciates Hip Hop in the UK to the US, cos out there commercially it's all about how much money you have. Over here it's real talk, its about the streets we live on, the money we do or don't earn, and about the lives we live.
If you have more to argue, do continue, but I know for a fact that selling music can get you p

anyway, let's not forget Shak
he started at a young age and he's excelling far quick than most, at this rate, he's almost better than Kyza in a much shorter amount of time, plus he's from my ends so it's only right I support him :p

I jus checked out ur music, I like the Back Then beat, it's got that soft but dangerous vibe to it... Kinda cynical like... The other two have pretty much got a very American feel to it, and I haven't heard the last
Im into my UK a lot more than US at the moment lol

So what artists mixtapes do you sell?
Well I primarily work with Dj Limelight, who's worked with quite a few people, I'll show u a track list... But also with Mike GLC, who basically sells his own stuff as well as a lot of others, obviously his PDC boys, a lot of Mykal Million etc...
But then I work with a guy who owns a store in East Ham, Ruthless Recordz, and I'm trynna start up the website for me to sell the stuff from there. Ruthless has the biggest amount of UK music you can get, cos he distributes to all the other stores across London and the market stalls. Ish madness !

I'm slightly Biased lol. But most those artists on those CD's are people I like..
Personally, I think Lowkey and Stylah are a few of the best lyricists in the UK. You obviously know of Klashnekoff and Kano etc, but then I love Genesis Elijah and if you want something even more grimey his brother Terra brings that hype with AC.
Dimples is a sick mc, along with Tinchy Stryder. I love YBM fam and Mike GLC, Triggs, Kyza etc, but thats cos I promote it so it's biased again.
