So today I was watching the news because I wanted to see about the arresting of that ex policemwoman's husband and instead they had some other piece of news.
The body of a dead baby was discovered in an attic in Cricklewood.
How does that happen?
Do the people living in the house not smell rotting flesh?
At some stage SOMEONE must have smelt the stench of rotting flesh, even if the current tenants didnt.
It's a strange strange world which we live in.

i dont know if it was an asian family or not as they didnt mention the sex of the baby, they just showed a demolition of something but im not sure if that was a related story, but then they showed nothing else about a house so they must have done some demolition to it.
they just said that the family who live in the house arent suspects.
i want to know more about that husband that got arrested.

that is really scary. i can't imagine why people would do that to a baby..... there can't be a good enough reason to do that

well if it was their own baby then obviously they must have put it up there to conceal the body, i doubt it crawled up their and they just didnt realise where it was :sarb:
the news report said that the people who own the house arent under suspicion (ie the tenants, if they are tenants)
but the point is, at SOME stage they must have realised that there was rotting flesh up there.

impact: they didnt say how long the kid had been in there but what really gets me is that at some stage, SOMEONE MUST HAVE SMELT ROTTING FLESH, its not a smell you can get away from, now tell me
1)how can you live with the SMELL?
2)how can you stay in the house knowing you murdered a kid?

People these days have lost there humanity and if they are the accused then the smell wouldn't have bothered them - would it? As they carried out the mens rea along with the actus rea? (lol maybe wrong but trying some criminal law words)

 ***** please.
you can have colliding mens rea and actus reus and still show remorse afterwards.
its no longer called the accused.

But in the courtroom for murder to be proved doesn't both Mens and Actus rea ned to be proved odawise it goes down as manslaughter.
Who discovered the baby then?

you still need mens rea for voluntary and involuntary manslaughter.
if its the former, you have both the mens rea and actus reus, you only get let off because you have a defence.
i dont know who discovered the baby, the news just said it had been discovered.

One thing that has puzzled me all along is why is it called Mens Rea becos isn't that sexist?
