View Full Version : There is no side quite like Liverpool FC

The club is just special, and showed again why it regarded as easily the most decorated and successful club in England.

We are currently a sleeping giant, but the giant still wakes and causes havoc on occasion(cue Crouch jokes).

There is a silent envy around all other English football supporters towards us, as there is of course, no other team like us.

It was only since Houllier took over that they started to move on.

Ok houllier had success but wasn't great, but he did take us to a new level, but wasn't able to go the next one beyond that. Rafa has done well and needs time. He has to compete with the better teams of Arsenal, Man Utd and Chelsea, by spending less money than them (yep Arsenal have spent loads it's just cos the players they buy dont go into the first team straight away) and have to compete with ever improving squads.

Rafa's defiantely the right guy, no doubt about it.

Was a great result. infact, amazin result! 2 away goals means , if we get one at Anfield, it will be very difficult to for barca to get back into the game.. but never say never with barca.. they too good to be written off..
Bellamy's celebration was class tho!

When you walk through a storm
Hold your head up high
And don't be afraid of the dark
At the end of the storm
Is a golden sky
And the sweet silver song of a lark

Walk on through the wind
Walk on through the rain
Tho' your dreams be tossed and blown
Walk on, walk on
With hope in your heart
And you'll never walk alone
You'll never walk alone

They done well, lets see if they can hold on at anfield. Should be able to, but it wont be easy.

Barca will come at us gung ho at stages, but we can lose 1-0 and still win. I think we'll still go for a goal.

It was only since Houllier took over that they started to move on.

Ok houllier had success but wasn't great, but he did take us to a new level, but wasn't able to go the next one beyond that. Rafa has done well and needs time. Rafa's defiantely the right guy, no doubt about it.

I'm anxious to see what he can do with the proper money that might be coming his way..

So it matters if a supporter is from over 200 miles away, when most of the actual players in the team, and the manager are from overseas?

Do you change the team you support? Supporting a team is lifelong. Players and managers come and go.

Anyway, I just don't understand the logic in supporting a team that someone has no social or geographic links to. Fair enough if you do. Tara.

Well, I began supporting Liverpool when we were pretty much winning nowt, and in pretty random circumstances.

The same arguement can say that the "local" team many support is not always the closest team to them geographically.

Anyhow, supporters who happen to support a team close to them geographically, will always call out fans who don't do the same as gloryhunters and the like, whereas the latter will always claim it doesn't matter. Despite players/staff coming and going, if the personnel you are supporting on a football pitch to reperesent your club are foreign, I'd say you don't exactly have to live next door to the club yourself.

Tara to you too, Jenny.

Liverpool is the best thing that hapend to football....Rafa's this team is only the 2nd English team to won in neu camp......and guess who was the first 1 to win...? It was the Great Bill Shankly........

Utd might got few things on which th can dare comparing em with Liverpool in Englisg football but in europe they all r light years behind us......

Now hands up who been to Anfield to watch football match...? Also share ur own pics of Liverpool...i got few in my profile so any1 can view em....

or have we had no decent strikers for about 3/4 years now?
the defence is always good year in year out but we lack the venom for the league
