Ouch...!!! :(

Don't mean to make a big deal about it, but I was in a car accident on Sunday evening. I was sitting at a T-junction, waitin to turn onto the main road. There was an SUV making a left hand turn into the street I was on, but coz I couldn't do see behind the SUV, I thought it was all clear, so I went and there was a truck doin 80km/h behind the SUV, and it hit me, on the driver's side.

My girl was in the car with me, and she was shaken up, but only real injury she got was a small bruise from her seatbelt, but I got some cracked ribs, something's up with my hip, and I couldn't get out of the car coz the door was jammed shut. Insurance is taking care of the car, but I don't know if they will just write it off... :(

My lil discussion is I feel so bad that I made the stupid mistake of takin the turn when I shouldn't have and injuring my girl. I feel so bad about that bruise I gave her that my injuries seem like nothing. My question is, "Am I always gonna feel this bad?" :( :( :(

thanks ya'll... but i feel bad for putting my girlfriend's life in danger... the car is a car, and yes it does suck that i might not have it anymore, but i'm more worried about my gf and if she still thinks she is safe with me... :(

Bad things just happen, you can't point blame why and how and who. Don't feel guilty, was not your fault. You out of all people definitely didn't deserve that happening to you.

As the others said thank god you are alive and your girl is alive with just a bruise. That's all that matters, clear your thoughts and spend time getting your health back. Get better :hug:

i hope i get over feeling that this is all my fault and i should have done something to prevent it... cars come and go, but a lady like mine is 1 in a million, when i was trapped, she jumped out the car, came around to my side to see if i was ok... what an angel... :love:

It's natural that you feel this eay but you have to forgive yourself, everyone [even the driver and your girlfried] would be saying if I only did this, he wouldn't of got hurt... but you can't change the facts, what's happened has happened.

You and your gf didn't deserve any of this but as they say for every cloud there's a silver lining. This probably would bring you closer together, don't let guilt ruin that. It was beyond your control. Take this as a blessing and live your life to the fullest.

but ur right.. some good did some of all this... coz when it happened, my gf called my parents and spoke to my mum for the first time, and my mum came down and took us home, and so my gf met my parents... just so happened my grandparents were at my place at the same time, so she met my whole family, and they all like her, so thats a good thing... :)
