Ok got a few questions:

1st off im getting a car which was written-off due to body damage (scratchs and one dent) Its been restored and looks brand new. Its a 54 plate and is still under warranty cuz its under 3 yrs old. We asked the guy if the car needs an MOT, and he tells us NO cuz its still under 3 yrs old. We are unsure cuz the car was written-off.

1. Can anyone tell me if the Car needs an MOT?

2. How long do points stay on ur license

3. If i dont tell the insurance company about my points (therefore getting cheaper insurance) is the insurance Valid, or will i get screwed shud i have to make a claim??

depends on wot cat the car is on,,if its a cat c then you will need to test the vechicle and they will give you a certificate cant rememeber what its called,,,

and yes tell your insurnace company as they will do all checks when you place a claim,,they they will reject you,, its not worth it. tell em how it is,,,

unless you know you will not have an accident,,points normally last for about 2 years to clear normal speeding ones and more then 4 will take upto 4 years top side.

Cars get written off if there is substantial damage, as in big damage. This damage can cause many future problems like wheel alignment which often cant be fully corrected depending on where the car was hit.
Cars under 3 years old dont need an MOT and they are under warranty.
The new points system means you lose a point each year following your conviction and after 3 years you have to send your licence to dvla to be ammended. And its best to tell your insurance company about points because i think the points appear on their central database and they use to ask for photocopies of licences when processing claims.
