No actually I have found that the average American makes a distinction between Pakistani and Indian. Indians = dot on the head, funny accent, doctors and nerdy and now possibly small penis.
Whereas Pakistani = Osama, war, arab, sand, camels, protests

I know because I used to call myself Pakistani but once I moved I decided to go with Indian and gets a better reaction.
