Due to the recent suspicion on Coke being haraam, a hardcore investigation involving Scholars was taken place & as a matter of fact, there is no such thing as pig-fat filtering taking place in the industry of Coke making.
Therefore you can resume drinking it in peace & without holding any regret.
If you have any products which you hold doubts over, feel free to ask & i'll do my best to get you a confirmation.

Meat is most likely halal if the shop-keeper is a Muslim & he is saying it's Halal. If it turns out to be haraam, he will get punished, not you.
But the Chicken issue is abit different in UK, don't know about where you live. Even the sellers who are saying it's Halal don't know for certain whether it is. The Chicken providers who sell them to the shops have been cheating for the sake of profit somehow, therefore it was recommended by the elders that we be very careful when we buy Chicken form the shops. You can always ask the butcher to show you a certificate indicating that it's Halal, keep in mind that not all of them are in-date & some are out of date by far. My family always looks out for the John Summers certificate because it has been confirmed that he is 100% Halal.
I know it means alot of work, but what's better, making a little effort to get Halal food down your throat or being ignorant & eating Haraam.

Not that i drink them anyway but what bout Ribena & Lucozade, i read it up agez ago on eat-halal site to avoid them, and since then i've gone off them. But know people are claiming they're ok? :sarb:
No idea about Lucozade, but not too sure about Ribena. I heard the samething too about Ribena, but i don't know for sure if it's Halal or Haraam yet.

Nothing against anyone as it's a personal decision, but does [RD] vox populi reject all that is not halal. That would be quite a languid development.

December 4th, 2006, 01:44 PM
So if it was considered haram before, why have they always been selling coke and coke related products back home (Pakiland in my case) even since I can remember?
I just hate these "sinless" people who bring their halal and haram crap here...stay back home please...I don't want to hear your preaching.

ROFL @ you.
Just because you live in a Muslim country, doesn't mean that everything they sell is Halal. You get alcohol in Pakistan, does that mean that it's suddenly Halal, just because a Muslim sells it in a Muslim Country? You have Halal & Haraam stuff all over the place. You even get Haraam stuff in Saudi Arabia despite that being the number one Muslim Country in the World.
Homie, if you have nothing decent to say & do, you should remain quiet, seriously.
Plus, if you don't like preaching, then it's cool Just don't go against what others do because that makes you look like a bigger fool than you already are. Thanx.

Deliberately eating Haraam, major sin that is. But accidental is not even a sin, but for example, you buy something, put it in your mouth & someone comes along & tells you that what you are eating is haraam, but you refuse to listen to them even though you decide to believe them, that is a sin too. You should spit it out straight away.

Errr, well, for the most part, what you say is not lacking. However, there are multifarious aspects to this that are rather subjective. I will give you a rather erratic example. Skittles. There has been an endless debate on the "purity" of it's contents. In such cases, it might not be sinfully consequential.
