no.
Syeds "claim" (not that i necessarily agree with what they claim but i am just giving you theyre concepts) taht they are the direct descendants of teh prophet mohammed (pbuh). As such they usually have a very arrogant (and non-islamic) attitude and won't marry besides other syeds because they dont want to "pollute" the blood lines. If you are claiming to by a Syed then basically you are claiming to be a representative of the Prophet's (pbuh) family.
