In that case I do not folllow my religion. I do not pray 5 times a day and I occasionally drink (very rarely tho). So no, I do not care much for religion, it's all a bunch of politics BS. I do believe in a higher power (God). I was born and brought up by Muslim parents, so yeah, I *belong* to the religion and I am pretty involved in volunteery (spelling?) activities for the mosque and other good causes, usually organized by my local and regional religious center.

That's a very narrow minded thought.

Narrow-minded?, it's amazing how corrupted the minds of Muslims are these days. It has been clearly mentioned in the Qur'an again & again, if you don't do your prayers as how you have been told to do, you are not counted amongst the Muslims, to the nearest meaning. And yes, that's all 5 prayers. Missing one prayer deliberately, without any strong excuse (after the age of puberty) will be the means of a person burning in the fire of hell for a long period of time.

I am not talking about any other worldly affairs a person indulges right now, the haraam acts they do etc. so don't try bring them in to this topic, i am concentrating on Salah here & ONLY Salah.

Yes, I'm illiterate. I have never read the Quran...much less any book. I was number one in my class for no reason and I'm at one of the top universities in my state with a full scholarship because the state is just as corrupt as I am. You only learn your religion by questioning it. Therefore I'm questioning you : Let's see where it says CLEARLY, "You're only a Muslim if you pray 5 times a day." If you can't find it, it's all good. Like I said, I'm not here to defend my religion. Nor do I want to argue, I just thought that a post was very misleading so I commented on it lol...

the post was asking a question regarding how many times ppl on rd say their prayers. Can u find where it said "not muslim".... u can call urself muslim for ur satisfaction- no problems... the prayers part, u will find out about it at the day of judgement.

oh by the way.... lol... just bcuz ur # 1 in everything doesnt prove that u r "all good" without ur prayers. U can b MISS UNIVERSE for that matter with a million bucks scholarship in ur studies.... God will still ask u about ur prayers.
so if thats an excuse that "oh look..i am a muslim, i dont say my prayers and i am at the top", then u r stupid. WHAT ABOUT THE HINDUS WHO DON'T EVEN BELIEVE IN ALLAH, RATHER THEY WORSHIP IDOLS... WHAT IF THEY R AT THE TOP? AND THERE R SO MANY OF THEM....

bottom line : "Ppl who call theirselves muslims and don't say their prayers, dont know anything about the Quran, regardless the fact that many of them r at the top and excelling... r not true muslims. Prayers r not just an act, its a way of worshiping, thanking, connecting with Allah... which Allah said "IS A MUST"...... In this world you might b very successful, but in the "real worlD" which starts after you die(if u r a muslim then u believe in this), your chances r veryyyyyy low for any kinda successs...

Wud i only wana b successful in the 100 yrs of life which i am gona live in this world....? What u gona do in the world where u gota live forever and ever.. millions.. billions of years... and no one dies there either, thats the interesting part. hmmmmmmmmmm. Me personally- i wud rather think about the life which everyones gona spend with God.... :)
