Ok so recently I've been house hunting and came across some information that downright pissed me off. Basically the government is looking to tax the value of your house and build a regulatory system advising of each and every house and its details, in the UK.

"Big Brother databases tax every home improvement: Under this new house price tax, 'site positive' features like gardens, patios, conservatories, double glazing, scenic views, number of bedrooms and number of parking spaces, increase the size of the local tax bill. The information is fed into a 'Computer Assisted Mass Appraisal' database."

Oh and, they will have inspectors come around to your house to take a valuation and should you refuse access you will be fined a £1000 and £200 a day untill you let them in.
