Just wanted to know how much people are paying monthly for their Sky subscriptions or how much they paid for their chipped boxes.
Reason I ask is because I got my ART Sports card last week and just wanted to compare value.
The ART Sports card cost me £130 and I get 8 sports channels in total. On Saturday I watched the Liverpool game live and then I had a choice of watching any of the 3pm kick-offs live. The channels also show La Liga and Serie A football and also have the rights to the Carling Cup, FA Cup and Champions League.
Also, I've got a few 24hr porn channels (not that I watch them.......obviously)
As Sky don't have the rights to show 3pm kick-offs, I wanted to know if any of the chipped boxes have any channels that do show 3pm Saturday kick-offs?

Do I need to have a minimum package to use this card. Where can i get it. Do I have to get the box chipped or is it all legal. is it permanent or does it cut off after a while and how long is the card vailid for 1 year.

All you need is a Satellite receiver (not a Sky box) and a Satellite dish (approx 80cm) pointing to the Hotbird 13e Satellite
The whole system is fully legal and the card lasts for a year from the day you insert it into your receiver. When the card expires, pay another £130 and buy another card.
Tonight ALL the premiership games are being shown (one on each channel)

Can I use my existing sky dish. I know a new box is needed as won't work with thw sky one. But can a regular skydish pick up the sinal, or do i need to buy a bigger one.

No, the Sky dishes are too small. You'll need a bigger dish, the bigger the better. I think you can have a dish upto 1m in size, anything larger and you'll need planning permission.
The initial outlay of buying the setup may sound expensive but it's cost effective. Sky/Setanta/Chipped boxes show most games but NOT the Saturday 3pm kick-offs.
You can buy the full hardward package and have it installed for you for between £250-£300 (this is a motorised setup) and the card costs £130. Maximum cost you are looking at is £430 for the first year. After that you're only paying for the card
If you have your dish motorised then you can pick up shitloads of Satellites from other regions too.
Sky's top package is £43 a month (I think) and chipped boxes are about £200 a pop (well they were last time I checked) so I think this setup is the best on offer

Cable boxes are alot cheaper now, nokia ones are best cos they auto update themselves when the signal/key changes :) Not a fan of sky but cable do just as much anyway.
