Yeah I heard about that. Its pretty cool. I'm really glad that our music has a promising future going into the mainstream.

I definitely think 2003 is the year of bhangra - everything kind of went wild ever since PMCs bhangra release earlier this year.

The only thing i'm afraid of is that bhangra elements may get overused in mainstream music and then it may eventually just go dead like techno music kinda' has in UK. Hopefully it shouldn't because I wanna' release some of my material sometime in the very near future ...

it may die out in Hip-hop / R & B scene ..but it will NEVER die for us punjabis and other desi's around the world..it will always stay HOT and dancers music.

PS:

Mary J Blige Feat Rishi RIch & Juggy D - Love At First Site

HOT..specially towards the end when rishi rich sings

That's already starting to happen with so many hip hop songs using bhangra or hindi beats and hooks in their songs. It definitely is nice to hear bhangra in the mainstream but if it keeps getting played out like it is right now it is going to die out.

It'll probably eventually leave the mainstream but like bigr0ck said it will never die for desi's. The only thing that'll suck with it leaving the mainstream is that the artists won't get the recognition or money that they deserve.
