What's suprises me is that unlike Delhi or some other cities in india, mumbai does not get any funds from the centre.Mumbai is city is the center of India's commercial and financial sectors yet is in an abysmal state. More than half the population is forced to live in slums and shanties.Chawls are as good as slums and the public transport system, particularly the local trains, is over-crowded.People spend long hours commuting .Bomb blasts keep happening and the government does not care.
