They aren't the best people to ask about dating advice......You need experience to give that, and most dont have any.

When do you ever hear "dating" anywhere when it comes to desis? It's always relationships or marriages....not dating. They have 1(if that) b/f or g/f throughout their lives and then end up getting married. They have no clue about what dating is.

What is Dating?
It is a social engagement between two persons that often has a romantic character. The dictionary describes it so differently than what others might think of it as a chance to get to know a person better.

Ok, here's a question: If I have a g/f, but she is not around (in town), it is okay for me to "date" a female friend of mine (go out with her, take her to places, as a "friend") with a slight touch of romance. By that I mean, behave with her in a way that I would not normally with a "just friend"?

IE: Hold hands, play with her hair, maybe kiss her, etc. Where do you draw the line when you are "just dating".

Let me see the strong wisdom in desis regarding dating. Experienced people only.

P.S.: I have military-grade dumbass detectors.

I like how you double-quote key terms. This means you recognize that locally the things you're doing are not accepted. At least with your girlfriend and maybe even with the "friend" in question. If it isn't a problem with you then why bother asking? You can't blame anyone else but yourself as per the consequences of your selfish actions.

In short, why wait til your girlfriend is out of town?

MrCanuck

But a "date" doesn not necesserily have to mean anything.

So where do you draw the line?

The question is this: If I feel more attracted to that other girl, what should I do?

I could dump my g/f... but if I don't then I might be trowing away an even better potential relationship and it would not be fair for the fact that I led that girl on to think she might have a chance with me. I know what she is thinking... that she will steal me away from her eventually.

The "right thing" to do would be to shatter her dreams by constantly reminding her of my g/f. But I haven't mentionned my g/f to her directly, but she knows now. And she knows I know what she is thinking.

What am I going to do ??? I don't wanna be an asshole
