Anyway most ppl moved to england including my friend and i came to usa.. american english is better imo. ok. well think of it like this. you know what an irish accent sounds like, and a scottish, right?

ireland and wales are the furthest places to the north/west. scotland is to the north/east and far far north. as you move further down south in the path of scotland you get geordie accents, which are like diluted scottish accents. and if u come from the west you get scouser accents in liverpool, the further south/more central you get the more diluted the accents get. like mine. if i put mines on really thick i got a farmers accent. and further south from me you got the midlands (cos im north england) and their accents are all messed up there's about three, and then once u pass a certain point its all london accents, but theres different types, theres cockney which is like, rougher sounding. and queens english.

but thats just really the white ppl. desis had their own influence on the accents in the uk too, like ya can tell when a desi is from bradford or was brought up with urdu as they first language, not just cos they sound fresh but they whole accent is a bit different. its still english and it may be fluent but its jus a strange accent to hear.

I must say I totally got the hots for a desi girl with a british accent. After reading this post you all have educated me on the many varieties of UK accents now I'm so curious to hear them.

But I'm from Washington DC...I wonder what you guys think of the American accents... there are probably more accents here then in the UK.. there isnt just the ghetto accent and the white accent here lol.

I stopped at heathrow on the way to pakistan and like I just started speaking in the brit accent cuz everyone was its was funny. I think I can fake it well ;) But I guess I gotta get one of you experts to try me... haha
