Dozens killed in Lebanon air raid

More than 40 people, including 20 children, have been killed in an Israeli air strike on the southern Lebanese town of Qana.

Displaced families had been sheltering in the basement of a site which was crushed after a direct hit.

The US secretary of state has cancelled a visit to Lebanon as its prime minister says he will only discuss a full and immediate ceasefire.

Hundreds of protesters are staging a violent demonstration in Beirut.

An angry crowd is attacking the UN building, chanting slogans against the US and in support of Hezbollah.

But Lebanese Prime Minister Fouad Siniora denounced Israel's "heinous crimes against civilians", and said there was "no room on this sad morning" for talks until Israel had halted its attacks.

Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said earlier that Israel was not in a hurry to agree to a ceasefire until it achieved its goals in the area.

israel refuses to cumminicate with hizbollah simply because it refers to it a as terrorist organisation. both palestinians and lebonese have prisoners in israeli jails a majority of whom are women and children as hizbollah states (i'll search for the reference).
due to this lack of communication the prisoners will most likely rott in them jails unless action is taken. thus the capture of prisoners by hizbollah was an attempt to gather attention! hizbollah also had no plans on injuring the prisoners, they stated clearly before any conflict that they want to negotiate diplomatically.

israel responce to this was to hell with dimplomacy lets shower beirut with bombs. the end result is over 600 innocent lebanese civilians are killed a third of whom are children. (quite frankly i see it as an excuse to get back at hizbollah after the humiluating defeat that ended in 2000.)

now tell me once more who the real satan is?

Hezbollah has gained a reputation in southern israel for it's social development programme by providing services free medical care and also interacting closely with farmers by training them in argriculture!

the only difference being hizbollah is more influential than its current goverment! as for iran aiding hezbollah i see this as no different to how it supplys israel. it's a 2 sided argument, it's be very pig headed to think it's ok for one party to do so and accuse another for doing exactly the same thing it does under the title of "state sponsered terrorism!"

from reading your previous posts let me summarise what i can. you recognise the state of israel and it's place in the middle east! hizbollah and hamas both of which are polictical parties in their respected states are seen to you as terrorists in diguise! am i right?!?!? (add more if you wish or correct me if im mistaken)

you see in this world today the word terrorism is sued very loosely. it has reached such a state that the term has lost its total meaning! anyone who rejects a particuler political movement can immediately be labelled and branded as a terrorist. as an example take the british national party in the uk a radical party calling expulsion of all ethnic minorities within the uk and a halt on immigration within the country! i for one am totally against such a party and can bombard them with numerous insults such as calling them a bunch of rasicr hooligans! but the fact is they have made it into politics and thus are a recognised political party. this same scenario applies for both hizbollah and hamas both of whom may have radical ideologies to you but you must however recognise that they are political parties and thus speek for the country as a whole. thus it is absurd to say that israel is fighting a war on terrorist because in reality it is a state warfare!

seconly you used the term terorists very loosely in that sentance earlier so i'm going to have to cut you on this one! you see from a narrow viewpoint anyone reading the papers would simply come to the conclusion that these are bunch of people that want to cause as much damage to property and life as possible! little do people question what possess people to give their lives and leave behind everything they got!

the answer is simple just look back less then a 100 years and see how the arabs have suffered in the hands of the isrealis since the creation of the state! palestinians have sat abck and watched there homes get demolished as isreali settlers have dug more and more deeper into their terroritory (although this has recently been sorted by recent UN resolutions) for several decades palestinians where forced to live and settle into cramped envirmonments whilst isreali settlers constructed jewish only neighbourhood on what was once their land!

added to this are the numerous checkpoint palestinians have to encounter on a daily basis. a land which they could once roam freely through as one palestinain women said what once a jounreny took 10 minute now takes thirty minutes!

this overwhelming feeling of deprivation in their own lands makes it difficult for the arabs to just sit back and share with their with their jewish brothers who seem more focused to on taking their land and driving them out???? the end result is retaliation by arabs even then their voices are not heard because the zionist forces control the media (if you think im full of shit read up on the hasbara project). From a global prospective the world see's the retaliation of the arabs without looking into their suffering - and this my friend and you can thank the media for is what we call terrorism!

your probably wondering why such barbaric action are only seen from one point! this is simply because in reality isreals actions are never brought to light it's own form of terrorism is masked by the fact that it is a recognised state fighting terrorism conducted by its arab neighbours. the involvement of IDF in the 1982 Sabra and Shatila massacre was simply brushed off by the media. it resulted in the death of thousands of palestinian refugees! isrealis response was they where flushing out evil PLO members!!! thus such an act was never condemned depite being UN set up refugee camps. the end result was the lead. you may argue that they where indirectly responisble wether or not they where aware a massacre was occuring, the IDF troops where there yet they took no action to stop it! in fact the israeli forces supplied bulldozers to phalangists to bury the massacred bodies!

and here's what pisses me off the most the man accused of having direct responsibility was IDF minister Areil Sharon - yes the same guy who 20 year later became prime minister!!!!
