1) 2 year olds do not cut themselves willingly. Their psychotic parents do that, but thats extremism. Educated shia families dont put themselves/or their kids through that. Many shias just like sunnis and other people are against the cutting themselves tradition.

2) Generally the color black is the collor of mourning, red, yellow are party colors. Black represents grief, hence people wear black to funerals all over the world. So we wear black in the month of muharram, because its a sad month.

3) I cant speak for all of us, but i personally have nothing against the sunnis or any other religion for that matter. To each its own, ya'll have your beliefs we have ours. Its not my place to judge any religion on person. And all the shias i know dont hold anything in their hearts against sunnis, not when i lived in the states, not here in pakistan.

And good job on not bashing, I dont think u'll find any shias on here bashing the sunnis. It was always khanbaba thinking he's above everyone, and then you came along and joined him.

ok u wont find any shias bashing on sunnis coz there is nothing to bash about . we are normal people lol .. just kidding dont do all matam on me now lol .. jk again. umm thanks for all this info .. here are the set of next quetsions

4) Do shia people ever wonder if ther style is wrong , and does it ever bother them when people say "shia people are false muslims"

5) Is is possible for a shia to conver to sunni-ism?

6) Ok seriously what is up with the Praying style? Why do shia people pray differently, when clearly they see in Holy Makkah how the imam prays seems the right way. Since Makkah is Gods house dont they feel that they are praying the wrong way ? How exactly do u guys pray , what do u read when ur standing up , and why dont u put ur hands up like sunnis do. and what is up with putting a rock infront of u.

thanks im anxiously waiting

1) All kids are stupid. Shias, Sunnis, Christians, Jews, Etc. Being shia has nothing to do with why you saw a 2 year old with a weapon of mass destruction.

2) What do you mean by this one? Do you mean what's the symbolism? If so, then it's quite simple. White = purity whereas black = sin/doubt/etc. It's basically all in the mind. At first we weren't allowed to wear black shalwar kameezes in jamat khanne (I'm an Ismaili so my answers might deviate from other shias). Now, things have changed, people who are assigned on paats, however are still not allowed to wear black.

3) (This one again comes from an Ismaili's perspective). The way we see it is this: You're a muslim. I'm a muslim. We're all brothers and sisters. Just the way our real brothers and sisters interpret our parents commands differently, our ancestors did the same. Whose right? Well, whose to decide that? You're right in your world. I'm right in my world. The only unfortunate aspect of this is that we both live in the same world. Others take advantage of us, Muslims because we're one of the most divided religious groups ever. Christians too have several sects but we never see them fighting each other : Mormons, Baptists, Protestants, etc.

4) Once again, your question isn't really specified at shias in my opinion. How so? Do you think that you're wrong? Do you think that your religion is wrong? We have a philosophy we go by: Just because the majority is all on one side doesn't mean anything. One thing it can mean is that there are a bunch of fools following each other. Don't get offended, I'm just trying to be blunt and inform you about Shias.

5) Converting? Sure it's possible. You're not bound to anything in life. ((Ismailism means "search for the truth")). If you don't feel like a certain group is right for you, you wont be sentenced to death. Is it easy to convert to an Ismaili? It's VERY VERY DIFFICULT.

6) We have our mukhi and kamadia ((leaders)) infront of us but we pray towards Makkah. Every jamat khanne is built that way.

If you consider Mecca God's house, isn't it idolatory?

Why pray towards the Mecca? Again isn't it idolatory?

Isn't the importance given to Mecca have something to do with pre-Islamic Arab religions?

Don't take my humility to be my weakness. You're a fucking noob. Learn how take answers and reactions other than yours. Seems like you live in a box and are oblivious to the real world. My point was that two year olds don't know right from wrong. You might've caught a kid at a wrong time when parents weren't around. If that's not so, specify it.

I presume this is to all muslims, not just shia's?

1. Mecca isn't Gods house, its a city in Saudi Arabia which is revered as the holiest site of Islam.

2. We pray towards the kaa'ba which is IN Mecca, that is the DIRECTION we face, so that it promotes unity between muslims ie. all facing in the same direction. The prophet PBUH was directed during his time to face towards the Kaa'ba.

3. Mecca was important before the prophet PBUHs time yes, the Kaa'ba was built long before that.

4) No we dont doubt our beliefs. It doesnt bother me that people call us kafir or whatever. Its all in allahs hands, thats for him to decide.

5) According to khanbaba many shias have converted to sunni-ism which i dont doubt at all. Just like many sunnis which have converted to shiasm, i pesronally know a few as well. I dont ever think about it or doubt my beliefs.

6) We pray a differently, ofcourse we read the same qura'anic verses in the naamaz as ya'll. But we just dont fold our hands because we believe back in the days of the holy propet and a little after that, people that converted to islam but didnt do it whole heartidly used to hide the statues 'buth' within their folded hands and would secretly pray to the statues. And because of that we dont our arms. The rock is the sajdiga, its made of the clay from karbala. I'm sure i dont need to explain the signifance of karbala to you. The rest is basically the same.

I'm no scholar so i dont have all the answers to your questions, nor do i think of myself as a good muslim that follows all the rules. I just know a lotta this stuff cuz ive been to islamic school.

We believe in haram and halaal ofcourse. Everything thats haraam for sunnis is haraam for us. Alcohal, haraam meat, pre marital sex, lying, cheating... etc.

Karbala is the place in iraq where 1400 years ago Imam Hussan was martyred.

The only question i have for you is, supposed you grow up to have a great business empire, upon your death wouldnt you want to leave that in the hands of your family because you feel they are the ones that would do justice to it. Rather than your close friends. Thats my personal argument i've never heard this from any scholar or read it anywhere. I kinda feel thats how it is with islam, why would the Prophet (Pbuh) not give islam over to Imam Ali, sunnis believe his successors were the sahabas, shias believe it was Imam Ali. Thats what the disagreement is all about basically. The rest of the issues are petty.

i'll be honest , im ashamed, but i dont even know my religion that well. but i can try . Prophet Mohammed was a prophet he was sent down from God to spread the religion he was the last prophet. Imam Ali was a human being , he was not the chosen one , he was a human being and more importantly he was not a prophet. Why would a prophet give out his work to a human.

I get your point, but the sahabas were human too tho. You cant tell me the sahabas were equal to the prophet. So why would the Prophet hand it off to the sahabas and not his own family.
