was just wondering ur thoughts on marrying a girl who is a doc?

medicine forms a huge part of who i am as a man, so i dont mind that a girl might find the doctor thing a bit of an attraction, because it's a part of who i am. as long as it's because they want to be with me, not be a rich trophy wife who doesnt give a shite about me as a person.

i want someone to fall in love with me as a whole, medicine AND everything else in my life. if theyre going to be resenting me for my busy lifestyle and dedication to my career then i can't be dealing with them. one thing's sure, i'll always put my family first but not so far ahead that i lose sight of my career progress. as i said, my drive is one of the things that defines me as a person, it's who i am.

being married to a doctor isn't like being a soldier's wife, you dont go for days weeks and months wihtout seeing your husband - it's just a few on calls and a coupla nightshifts a month, the rest is a standard 8 hour shift a day just like anybody else!

ive thought about the marrying a doctor issue, but it brings its own set of problems too such as her finding a job. if she's insanely driven hard career wise, like i am, then the chances of us both relocating to an area and BOTH getting jobs in competitive fields is low. anyone who's met me knows you can never ask me to be less driven or not work as hard, it won't happen so something has to give and that something would have to be from her side, NOT because im the man so i get it all my way, but because i will not marry a girl who will ever expect me to tone down my ambition.
