there's a lot of arrogance among doctors, i think because they've always been ridiculously high achievers academically, and then society puts them on a pedestal, it goes to their heads.

and a warning: be careful about getting involved in people who are very driven in life, separating home from work can be difficult, and even getting home from work at times can be difficult. if you're one of those girls who'll snap at your hubby for coming home at 2am and slam the bedroom door, yelling "dinner's on the table, and it's cold" then you aren't going to enjoy being married to a doctor.

Good thread. Its interesting to read what people deem to be important qualities in their spouse.

Alhamdulillah, my parents and I share the same opinions.

Personally, i think we should also think about our prospective partners. Not only should it be about what WE want but we should also consider what THEY would want from US and how THEY would feel about being married to YOU. For example, im a medstudent, and InshaAllah one day will be a doctor. So i think it would be harsh on my wife if she were to be a housewife, and me returning home from work at random times of the night. In the same way, if i had a regular 9-5 job, i would not even begin to consider marrying a high-flying business woman who comes home late at nights or needs to go abroad for her job and travel all the time. It wouldn't work. So basically..somebody who has a similar lifestyle so that we can adapt to each others lives.

As well as that she must be loving, caring..and all the other positive adjectives people use. She must also be tall (5'7+), slim, pretty, have morals, be in touch with her cultural and traditional values. Most importantly must be a practising, religious Muslim. To top it all of it would be nice if she wore a Hijab.

InshaAllah i will find her one day. lol. If anybody knows of such a girl, please PM me. I'm serious..lol.
