View Full Version : Any 5-a-side goalkeepers here?

I know loads of you guys must play 5-a-side, is anyone out there particularly good in net?

I don't mean good as in you play with your mates and your good, I mean like do you play for a team in net, or you've won trophies, or you just know your a very good keeper, anyone?

We need a keeper for this weekend, urgently! :neutral:

i do get scared of the ball sometimes. that shouldn`t be a problem though. =]

No worries man, we should be able to get someone. Just thought id ask on here in the odd chance theres a undercover schmeichel who browses these forums :idea:

i played goalie for varisty.:dunno:
i live in the states though and i m decent i had the most shutouts in our conference, not that i didnt get any shots at the goal but i have good refelexes.

No but I have played there afew times. Nice pitches but my GOD it gets so hot there in summer, like your in an oven :neutral:

We normally play at Pitz (powerleague) in ardwick, you know it? Thats more local to us, and its outdoor aswel, perfect 5-a-side pitches. Iv managed to sort a keeper out today, one of my brothers mates is suppose to be alright, he said he will play so we will see what happens tomorrow now. We play alot but never really in tournaments, if we dont get to the quarters at least il be GUTTED :mad:

Arshy if you got a decent team we should sort a game out sometime, we're always looking for new teams to play against :)

We usually play on sundays at soccerdome..
we dnt have a bad team, but it aint no semi-pro stuff...

but yeh keep in touch maan and hopefully we can kick it!!!

Well that was interesting! We played 4 games, drew 3 and won 1. We finished second in the group and qualified for the knockouts... then got knocked out against some bengali's :mad: Worst thing is they weren't even that good :( What can you expect though in 7 minute games!!? Its over before it even starts!

95% of the teams there were asian. The only one consolation was, that we beat last years champs 'south manchester'. They were in our group, they were all black guys with 1 paki. I hope they won it again to be honest, so at least we can say we beat the champs :D

Hey dont feel ashamed coz all the bengali teams i know kick ass...
they play smooth one touch stuff..

Atleast u made it through to the knockout stages...but just like england u din't have the balls to go all the way :)
