Perhaps he also wanted to attack them because of their "corrupt" culture.

After all, these people and some Muslims in the UK won't quit until Britain becomes an Islamic state and force all women to cover themselves with the ugly niqaab.

DUBAI (Reuters) - Al Qaeda deputy Ayman al Zawahri said two London bombers received training in al Qaeda camps, according to a video posted on the Internet on Friday.

Exactly one year ago, four suicide bombers attacked the London transport system, killing 52 people. Zawahri identified Shehzad Tanweer and Mohammad Sidique Khan as both receiving training in Qaeda camps.

"Shehzad's motivation for going to the bases of Qaeda al Jihad was the repression which the British are perpetrating in Iraq, Afghanistan and Palestine," he said in the video which was posted on a Web site generally used by insurgents.

"And that's why Shehzad came to the bases of Qaeda al Jihad group and spent a period of time with Mohammad Sidique.

"Both of them were seeking martryrdom and wished they could carry out a martyrdom operation."

The video also showed footage of Tanweer, who said:

"To the non-Muslims of Britain, you may wonder, 'what have you done to deserve this?', you are those who voted for your government who in turn ... continues to oppress our mothers, children, brothers and sisters from the East to the West in Palestine, Afghanistan, Iraq and Chechnya," he said.

"Your government has openly supported the genocide of more than 150,000 innocent Muslims in Falluja."

The video appeared to be from the same one which Al Jazeera television had aired footage of on Thursday.
