View Full Version : LeBron James soon to be a Chicago Bull!

I've heard Nike is willing to pay him 200 million up front to join the Bulls as a restricted free agent, trade or as a free agent, in that case the Cavs will get nothing in return.
It is inevitable. King James destiny is to play for the Bulls. Create the new dynasty.
James staying in Cleveland is a joke.

He is hesitating to give a verbal to sign the deal. That is a clear sign that LBJ doesn't want to play in Cleveland. His days in ohio are numbered guys.

proof?
obviously you haven't been watchign the news at all. it was just on sportcenter, they said wade, mello, and bosh have all accepted (given verbal) their extensions. lebron is the only one that hasn't made up his mind yet.
i don't blame him though. $200 million dollars (plus a lot more!) to play in chicago or 80 million to play in cleveland?
the choice is obvious. i dont' think he's staying in cleveland.

yup i think he would like to finish his career in his hometown and not be the person who pussied out cause his team wasnt doing good, where as a matter of fact, they took detroit deep, so they def are going to get better the least

if he remaines in cle, he won't get that BIG nike contract. if he comes to chicago he'll be the king.

but seriously, i dont think money is as much of a factor for him, like he said many times, he wasnts to be a legend, and moving all over the league doesnt really back up as being a legend, work with what u got, improve the team, take it somewhere and youll be remembered, man with the kinf od endorsements hes doing, i doubt money would play much factor here

besides, when a player says money has nothing to do with his decision, it DOES! thats just the way it is. and cle isnt' even his hometown. he's form akron, oh

I think if LeBron does end up going to the Bulls then the Bulls wont have good chemistry which will lead to losing. Just my 2 cents..

I wish this was true, but I'll believe it when I see it.
Hes probably a "loyal" pussy who will play for cleveland his whole career.
Loyalty is pretty dumb in sports imo. if I was playinbg for a shitty city like cleveland I would do anything to get traded. Ohio is just plain garbage.
Out of NY, LA, Chicago, we would have the best chance because of our situation and upside, but this isnt gonna happen.
Hes probably trying to get more from cleveland or build suspense and make people sweat.
what did loyalty get karl malone?

Man, imagine if it were to happen. The Cavs were tortured by His Airness over the course of 80's and 90's (The Shot, 69 Points, The Shot Part II - Craig Ehlo still has nightmares about guarding Jordan).
And now this 23 would bolt to the Windy City and beat up on the Cavs regularly too. Wow.
I heard too that Nike does want LeBron in a huge market like LA, NY or Chicago.

Man this would be a dream come true, but its highly unlikey.

Bulls really shaping up for Paxson
By Mike McGraw
Daily Herald Sports Writer
Posted Friday, July 07, 2006
Bulls general manager John Paxson can’t comment on free-agent signings or trades until the deals become official July 12.
So Ben Wallace, Tyson Chandler, P.J. Brown and J.R. Smith are off-limits for now.
But when the Bulls opened their summer-league camp Thursday, Paxson did speak in general terms about higher expectations and the chances of another big trade coming.
“I hope that expectations are high, because that’s part of the fun of putting a team together,” Paxson said. “We have big expectations of ourselves.”
Paxson pulled off a stunning move this week, landing Detroit Pistons free-agent center Ben Wallace with a four-year, $60 million contract. Then the Bulls traded Chandler to the New Orleans Hornets for Brown and Smith.
Paxson doesn’t expect any more transactions in the immediate future.
“It will be time to maybe be patient,” he said. “But I think that down the road we’ll be able to maybe make another move that helps us out even more.”
He may not have a specific move in mind, but Minnesota’s Kevin Garnett and Phoenix’s Shawn Marion could hit the trading block in the next year.
“It’s going to be a great training camp when we get around to October,” Paxson said. “I think you’re going to see that we made a commitment to upgrading our professionalism, our talent base, our athleticism, our length.
“From my seat, it gives me a chance to evaluate what the next step will be. Sometimes you can’t do everything all at once. I think we’ve been able to address a lot of things.”
Point guard Chris Duhon watched Thursday’s morning session and chimed in on the team’s recent moves.
“It’s putting a lot of pressure on us, and our expectations are going to be even higher now,” Duhon said. “The city is getting excited and now it’s time for us to go out and perform.”
First-round draft pick Tyrus Thomas thinks the addition of Wallace and Brown will only make his rookie season run more smoothly.
“It’s going to be easier for me because I’m going to be more relaxed,” Thomas said. “I don’t have to come in and be an immediate scorer or immediate impact player. I’ll be able to come in, relax, be myself and just learn from the other guys.”
Duhon and Thomas know Brown well. All three are Louisiana natives and Brown had a residence in Duhon’s hometown of Slidell, a New Orleans suburb.
“His wife went to my high school and I played with her brother,” Duhon said. “He’s a great guy; one of the best vets or pros that you can be around. He’s going to add that leadership we’ve kind of struggled with.”
Duhon didn’t rule out the three Louisiana products banding together to give the team a more Cajun flavor.
“We need to bring something in,” he said with a laugh. “Some seafood, some jambalaya, some gumbo — just to keep us happy, keep our diets right.”
