I hate this twat. What a fucking cheat, bloody wanker. After reading the newspaper this morning, i hate him even more. If he stays at Man.Poo, i hope Rooney kicks the shit out of him so bad that he can't play football again.

Rooney - 'I will smack him in the head and break him in two'.

Well who can blame him?, Word.

Stevie G - 'That little wanker disgusts me'

Before the match he provoked Rooney as a joke, told him that he would try and get him sent off, Rooney laughed it off thinking yeah right, it's his team mate after-all so it must be a joke. The bastard was fo'real. After he got Rooney sent off he was caught winking at his team mates and half-smiled so save himself from any suspicion, but he failed.

He now wants to leave Man.Utd for Real Madrid, but i think Man.u are deciding on ditching him anyway. Yeah that's it 'Ditch the Bitch'.

Bastard.

I'd wait until after xmas, cos at least that way every person in england can berrate the little fucker for what he sis...i though Diego Simone was a fucker until Saturday night........he is looking for a way out of United, and used this to his benefite.

I say wait till after xmas, by then he would have been crunched, by Lampard, Gerrard, Terry, Cole, A Cole, Rooney and every other fucking england player.

dont let him off that easily.

I don't reckon he would survive that long. Don't forget, their is Neville, Ferdinand also at Man.u along with Rooney. I can see Ferdinand head-butting him in the shower with his shower-cap on and him making that cry-baby face like 'leave me alone or i'll tell Fergie'.

He's a complete prat for doing that to a team-mate. However...

Too many of you are diluting Rooney from any sort of blame himself. He clearly stated befroe the match, that there would be provacation etc, and he still fell for it, effectively ending England's chances to win the game before penalties.

Ronaldo was a dick for doing what he did, but it is ultimately still Rooney's fault.

What are you talking about?

You'll notice a lot of Ronaldo hate is coming from Mancs (yes mancs) who are pissed off that Ronaldo doesn't want to play for them no more.

As Gerrard said "he'd be horrified if a club teammate got him sent off, and laughed at him like that."

Ronaldo was a complete dick for he did to Rooney, but Rooney cost England the game, not Ronaldo.

Rooney is the real bitch! You read the newspaper cuz ur in UK..obviously it'd be biased..Ronaldo did nothing wrong really..Rooney deserved the red card after hitting 3 guys, and kicked one in the groin, and then all Ronaldo was doin was talking to the ref..and Rooney jus pushed him out, thats jus not acceptable

So you are saying that i am only hating because he is a fucking Man.u player and not a Liverpool?, woah are you fucking dumb?, look around, can't you see how many Man.u fans are against him for what he has done?. Yes. Rooney was in the Wrong.

Dont Chelsea surround the Ref when they want a player sent off.
Its been over puplicied wht was said in b4 the game. Shit like tht is said all the time in the tunnel, but on this occasion it has been told in the papers.

If someone has kicked Rooney in the balls, im sure Gerrard, Lampard, terry etc would have been around the Ref. regardless of him being frm the same club.

So wht if he winked. I wudda called Rooney a stupid idiot for falling for the bait. Next time u watch a game, watch the defender marking the striker. All he will be doin is talking shit in his ear. Rooney fell for it, hook, Line and Sinker.

Ronaldo can leave, i dont care, cuz if Portugal win the World Cup. it will be Ronaldo who has the last laugh and NOT Rooney.

well winding each other up and ruffling each other is part of sport, it's not unsportsmanly. if i was portuguese i'd have said "lads wind that rooney lad up, he's liable to snap". it's not portugal's fault he got sent off, he did it himself. people wind us all up in daily life and we dont always kick the shite out of them.

in cricket, sledging is an accepted part of the game, winding each other up and ruffling their feathers to unsettle them and provoke them into behaving in a way they wouldn't want to, for example losing concentration.

ronaldo didn't cheat or do anything underhand, he just did what's an acceptable part of the sportsman's repertoire.

Ronaldo is an easy target and everyone chose to blame him since he got Rooney sent off...in my opinion, England played better without Rooney.

that's exactly it in a nutshell, the british psyche is that england must be the best at all costs, and if not, then blame must be apportioned elsewhere.

rooney is undoubtedly a fantastic talent who can lift a team but there is a problem with him playing for england - they play EVERYTHING through him, being overly-dependent on him and as a result the team becomes very one-tracked in attack, cutting out all their options. however, when rooney doesn't play, joe cole, gerrard and the forwards get more of the ball in attacking positions and more attacking options are open.

absolutely, England scored more often without Rooney than with him and in all the goals made by England in this world cup, Rooney played no role in them watsoever.

:Paper:

As far some of you idiots are concerned you’ve condemned C.Ronaldo because he trotted over to the referee, demonstrated about Rooney stomping on Ricardo’s testicles, and managed to convince the ref to produce a red card?

It is surpriseing how some of you have convinced yourselves about the mythical and prominent relationship the ref and C.Ronaldo shared on this pitch. Do you think if CR had not gone over to the ref that the Rooney situation would have followed a significantly different course? I think not. Rooney was branded the red card because of violent conduct and it was emphasized to the officials to adopt a hard-line stance against violent conduct. Unsympathetic as CRs attitude may have been it was understandable, in the match I don’t recall either Rooney or Ronaldo wearing a Man Utd jersey does anybody else? They were not team mates on Saturday but, as hard as it may seem to digest for you idiots, they were opponents and Ronaldo treated him as such.

It wasn't pre-planned, it wasn't intentional, it all happened in 30 seconds and everybody decided their own actions and their own fate, including Rooney.

Good player ronaldo, its part of the game not to be taken in by the oppositions tactics, but rooney has to improve that part of his game.

WTF?!

Look ---> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ylMqeyMgsxs&eurl=http%3A%2F%2Fihateronaldo%2Ecom%2F

I will say this for the last time, the red card came as a RESULT of CR's whining. Is that illegal in a game of football? No. Is it cheating? No. But is it downright low ethically and bad sportsmanship, especially towards your so-called freind and teammate? HELL FUCKING YES!

Im not saying thats the reason England lost, but all Im saying is what I been saying for YEARS about that loser. The same thing that Van Nistelrooy has been saying...THAT IS IS A WHINY, CHEATING LITTLE BITCH THAT HAS NO PLACE IN FOOTBALL!! And that not just from the England match, he does it week in and week out in the permiership and obviously in Man Utd training too, just ask Ruud...

why are u guys hating on ronaldo? he did nothing but talk to the ref. it was actually rooney's fault in kicking the other guy in the nuts.

u guys are just over hyped UK fans. if anyone does something hateful against england, u guys get ovelyr mad which is the major problem with UK fans and the reason there are riots in England

C Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney have both spent 3 years at Manchester united together; you would expect C Ronaldo knows Wayne inside out. The Portuguese camp looked at England’s weaknesses before the game and Rooney’s temperament was on the top of their list. So they had put together a premeditated plan to try and get Rooney as wound up as possible, enough to leave him on the knife edge of losing his cool, lashing out and as result getting sent off. This was clearly evidently shown in Ronaldo’s wink and grin towards his own dugout after Rooney had been red carded. I do believe, in a civilised society, what Carvalho tried to do is classed as "rape".

The argument could be made to say, possibly Ronaldo spotted a girl in the crowd that took his fancy and decided to give her a little wink. But what would then explain BEFORE kick-off, where Ronaldo was trying to wind Rooney up and proceeded in shouldering/head butting him in the back of his neck?

I watched the USA play, and without sounding too harsh, although the can't be faulted for their work ethic and fair play. They looked rather predictable in attack and sort of lacklusture in defense. I really tried to look for a spark of talent in the team, their best player was Claudio Reyna and hes 31/32 or something is it? They just didn't have enough talent and it is going to take a considerable amount of time for any genuine class comes through.

Why didn't they play Brad Frieddel of Blackburn in goal?

African nations hold much more prospect for the future if you ask me, Ivory Coast would have got through any other group then that Holland Argentina one and Ghana were no push overs either. Ghana were just missing that killer instinct in front of goal, they could have had half a dozen against Brazil.

Your Canadian, you know nothing about the game!

Ronaldo knows exactly Rooney would react and purposely waltz over to get a reactionn
What did it have to do with Ronaldo anyway?

Cheating scumbag

1) Did Rooney intentionally stamp on Carvalho? If so, a red card is deserved. if not then it isn't even a free kick, it's just an accident which happens in football.

2) Should Rooney have been sent off for a shove on Ronaldo? That would be the case only if it was considered violent or dangerous play which a shove clearly isn't.

It was a nudge at best. There is far worse going on in the 18 yard box during a corner! If that was why he was sent off, then the ref needs disciplined.

England’s overall performance was mediocre for the most part. The team was never at par with rivals, such as Italy or Germany, throughout the entire tournament. So face it – they never had a real shot at attaining the World Cup glory anyway.

Besides, it is an innate part of human nature to seek scapegoats during times of failure. Ronaldo did not even get to talk with the referee for more than few seconds before Rooney shoved him. I am sure Ronaldo’s words did not have any impact on the referee’s decision during those few seconds. Some of you are making it sound like it is okay for Rooney to be easily provoked. Sure, he feels passionate about the game but he needs to exercise self-restraint.

And please stop daydreaming about Rooney beating up Ronaldo – I am sure good ol’ Rooney does not want to face more sanctions.

That said, I am so glad that all three of my favorite teams advanced so far. Thanks, Italy, for effectively working against Germany’s home field advantage!

Nonetheless, I am rooting for France because I want Zidane’s last match to be a memorable one. Also, I was a bit taken back when Jean-Marie Le Pen made some racist comments about the French team not being real representatives of the country’s white-majority populace. If the team wins the Cup, then it would surely be a slap in the face of France’s far right wing National Front.

By the way, check out the following excerpt from UK's Telegraph:

Despite Wayne Rooney's protestations, however, the referee who produced the red card has said that it was for the clash with Portugal's Ricardo Carvalho and not Cristiano Ronaldo, the Times reports.

"It was violent play and therefore he got a red card," Horacio Elizondo tells the paper.

Of Ronaldo's protestations after the foul and the scuffling between players: "People can say what they want but this had absolutely no influence."

Bastard.

:Paper:

oh man, you really do need to stop believing everything the tabloids say...

Rooney - 'I will smack him in the head and break him in two' did he really say that or was that printed in the Sun newspaper and quoted by an unnamed individual.

Steve Gerrard coming out saying that Ronaldo disgusts him for cheating and waving his hand in the air, as if to tell the ref to book rooney - ronaldo didn't actually wave a card... wasn't it Gerrard who dived to win a penalty against the Hungarains (spelling?) at Old Trafford and not one of the pundits on BBC had to the balls to say it was a dive...football is a game of hypcorisy... when rooney went down injured at Chelski, all the Chelski fans were laughing at him, until he stayed down long enough for them to realise that he was seriously injured and could miss the world cup.

people seem to forget that when the incident occured, rooney and ronaldo were not team mates, they were playing against each other in a tournament which only comes around once every 4 years... ...

have you never heard of the footballers saying "before and after the game we will be friends, but during the game we will be enemies...". when man united and liverpool play next season, rooney and steve gerrard will be fighting for every ball, tackling as hard as they can, trying the win the game for their team...but after the game they will still be mates.

what was ronaldo's crime? running upto the ref and saying "did you see that?" and then people thinking that he winked at the bench. did you actually see him winking at the bench, because all what i saw was a close-up shot of him winking. we don't even know if it was the main camera looking at him, or it could have been any one of the 30 cameras across the ground, so we don't even know the really direction that he was walking in, let alone who he was winking to...but everybody seems to believe whats written in the tabloids is the gospel truth.
that's just my 2 cents...

10 men down with a shit lanky liverpool striker doesnt help.

few yrs ago, england had an in form michael owen, rooney, carlton cole, defoe, vassell and even heskey(sort of)

now look at them.
it doesnt require 10 men to miss penalty shots

didn't Henry dive against Spain and the resulting free kick lead to a goal...
