Rather than looking at what he isn't doing why don't we try looking more at what he is doing?

You still have to keep him on the pitch for those dangerously placed free kicks in and around the penalty area, moments of brilliances like that can change a game, one good delivery, one exceptionally judged free kick; these can make all the difference. (just like it did today)

I don't look at stupid statistics, if we were to look at statistics the whole England team may come under scrutiny, Lampard has been looking less than convincing in all the games and I haven’t seen anyone slagging him off anywhere near as much as people are David Beckham. It’s quite ridiculous, all because of who he is.

If you remember back to his Mancher United years, and the good old Beckham Yorke combination, his delivery was consistantly superb then, now it's just superb on a more eratic basis.

It's just like Figo for Portugal, Ronaldo for Brazil and Zidane for France.

Everyone knows their not as good as they used to be, mainly because they are all past their peak but they can still deliver at highest level.
