Is it not politically correct to call somebody black? In textbooks and whatnot you always usually see African-American. Why? Why do people take offense to being called black? White people are called white and don't take offense to that, we aren't called caucasion by African-Americans. I was in class a few weeks ago and said "because blacks" in my sentence and a white kid turned around and laughed as the teacher agreed with my point but said African-Americans in the reiteration. Always found it interesting...

By using the term "black" most people jump the boat and assume you're using the word in a negative way.

using the word black is not derogatory in normal everyday terms, but obviously if you start saying you black fcuk etc etc then it has racist connotations..lol
End of the day if sumone is so highly strung and insecure with the colour of their skin to feel the need to take insult when sumone refers to them as black needs to be put down...lol
