I think that is racist.
Their are so many good footballers out their who are Pakistani/Indian/bengali etc. but if you look around profession leagues you hardly see any. I can just think of that Rehman for Fulham, that's about it...

The emergence of good Desi footballers will arrive with the arrival of our generations children.
We will be the first generation of asians (on a major scale) that will have been raised in this country.
We understand football (and sports) and will be more encouraging to our kids to progress in sports aswell as academically.
By the time we are all 40-50, there will be plenty asian footballers.

couple years back the Hurricanes had a Pakistani Center name Haji something....his senior year was one of the top centers in the nation and was predicted to be drafted in late third round but choose his dream of becoming an architect instead

its simple
time and money and support
you need to put alot of time and money if you want to become a professional athlete of any sort..
desi rents are usually traditional cultured and stubborn also lazy
90% probably wont support their child playing a sport to become professional
becase it takes alot of time and money to do so.. you must start at a young age, going to camps, practises playin in tournaments at home different cities etc etc etc, esp when child is young they need the parents support to invest time and money to take them to the games and pay for all the necessities
in the end to sum it up..
Desi rents are just good at taxi driving and sittin on their ass'

Theys Vikash Dhorasoo, who plays for france, he's ethnic Indian, from Maurituas.
and theys Michael Chopr, who plays for Newcastle.... he's british/indian.
Theys few others but their names aint coming to me right now......
but yah theys a lack of desi footballers, they need a lot more, desi's aint actually that bad in sport, i had a couple of friends who were fucking good at footy, in school, but their dad never let them try out, for a proffesional club, now they are studying engineering and medicine.

ppl sometimes underestimate the amount of training, practice and dedication it takes to become a successful professional footballer. natural ability is only part of what u need
u cant put it all down to racism cos the premier league is full of black players. and u cant put it all down to lack of parental support, cos theres enuf asian drug dealers and credit card fraudsters out there who seem to do great without the help of their folks

Its definately not down to racism, theres enough people out there from different races playing pro footy. If there was a paki/indian guy who was good at that level, believe me a club would sign him up without a doubt, but most the paki/indians I know who play football, play 5-a-side which is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING like proper 11-a-side. Iv been playing 5-a-side for years, recently started playing 11-a-side and i was shocked at how much harder it is.
Give it afew years though and im sure the odd few players will start coming through.
Btw if any of you guys has a 5-a-side team in manchester, gimme a shout if you think you are worthy ;)

I played at a decent level and had trials with some big teams, played with some palyers who are famous now. Its a lot more than just natural talent, its about mentoring, focus & commitment and most importantly luck. There are a lot of good young desi players but it will take time before we see big breakthroughs maybe 8-15 years.

Desi people just do not have the discipline to uptake a professional footballing career, irregardless of the immense and phenomenal talent out there. We have seen cameo appearances from the likes of Zesh Rahman, Mike Chopra in the premiership though.

Theres a lot of good players coming through the ranks especially with the Asian football leagues. It won't be long, I'd say another 5 years or so until we start to see some brown faces in the English game, maybe not the premiership just yet but it will start to happen.
