Mira Nair is a film director of indian descent.

If you are refering to Indira Varma who plays the poor girlfriend of Tara, the queen. She wasn't really a slut..she was vendictive, yes...but not really slutty. She never became a wife...only a mistress to the king.

What I like about Nair is that she makes films about female empowerment.
