Why don't people get back, get revenge, report the person or get them jailed etc? Especially if the people molested were people you know and people your relatives would know as well?

Like just letting it go without making the other person face any consequences, is not helping. I know that the person who was the victim probably wants to let it go because it hurts to think bout it etc, but if more people did something bout it (don't hate, i'm in the middle of a speech) then there would be more solutions than problems and the molestors/rapists would get what they deserve.

you're definitely not healing by laughing about it and turning it into a joke which it's not. thats not helping you heal, and its not helping anyone else heal either. it's only going to make others feel like they shoudln't be affected by it the way they are becuase to people like you its being treated like no big deal.
I dont believe she's turning it into a joke. In fact, I believe people have different ways of dealing with things. She's not trying to mock rape. But SHE went through it, she's not fucked up in the head! Only a person who has been through what she and I have been through can fully understand. She may laugh about it here, and how do you know thats not just a defense mechanism? How do you know she hasnt cried about it on her own. People need to heal in their own way. If laughing about it makes her feel better, allow her that! It took me several years to come to grips with what happened to me. I can talk about it, it IS a big deal. But crying about something that already happened, that you cant change anymore isnt going to help. The purpose of obstacles in life is to learn from it, learn to be a stronger, more courageous person, and deal with the rolling punches that Life throws at you, but knowing that God is always on your side.

They need to be hung by their balls and physchologicaly it fucks them up for life like for example when they meet a guy they really like and they want to get frisky then the flashbacks of that day will draw back in there mind - My friend is still going through that and when that day turns up in the year she goes wild and drinks like mad to forget it but i have told her i will always be there for her on that day to help her through her trauma!
