3rd day :: nikkah, wedding cermony at the brides place

Desi brides have so much jewelry and funky clothes on them that by the time the groom gets them off I'm pretty sure he'd either be asleep or just not interested anymore. in fact, there's so much much jewelry it would make Jay-Z go, "dayum, GIRL, that's a lotta bling!"

oh and throw in a possible third reason. a desi newlywed usually tends to stay with either family on the first night of marriage. consummating your marriage in your parents' house is a little ... creepy.
