i thought it was ucl n imperial which rejected me. cant blame them tho, my 12.5 bmat does stand out for the wrong reasons. i aint a rude boy, lol, theyre the ppl i wanna avoid.
im still tryna decide where to stay, the catered hall is out of london and the great dover self catered doesnt look like it has much of an atmopshere.

Most of the other halls are pretty much mixed. The Stamford St halls arent too far from Guy's Campus either but they're smaller.

well im a country lad from the north coast of ireland! i've always wanted to live in london, and i did find it all a bit overwhelming. everyone rushing from a to b, no one says hello to each other on the street, surrounded by people, real sense of being alone.

even in halls, surrounded by so many people that i was getting very friendly with, i felt alone, isolated - i was on a different landmass to my home! london takes a bit to get used to - you have to harden your skin a bit, and that's saying something for a tough little terrier like me from northern ireland!

soon you clock in to the pace of life and get used to it, so don't worry about not falling on your feet, you could be forgiven for crawling for a bit at first, you'll be fine!

i wouldn't recommend anyone doing medicine, unless they absolutely want to do it for themself. once you're under that kind of pressure, thoughts of money, status, and what other people expect of you are not going to drive you to get through the tough times (and in fact sometimes the expectation of others is an immovable burden, and i've seen it destroy a few of my colleagues here...the dropout rate is laughable!)
