best laptop to buy for uni?

hey all, im lukin for a decent laptop that i can buy to take to uni in 6 months time...but i duno the first thing about them!
any ideas? suggestions?

Well, it would depend

if you arent into gaming or use processor grinding media softwares then, you should just get a centrino, 1GB RAM (512 is alright since the 1gig would be pricey), 60GB HD. Check out those Dell lappy's.
