A few people always thought his movies were flops but u know what I never thought so.. Ive never seen a bad movie of him besides that stupid gay flick called "boom" (that was such a desperate attempt).

Coming from mixed lineage of parents is helping Amitabh Bachchan in his film career a lot. Thanks to his mother, Teji Bachchan, Amitabh is fluent in Punjabi.


So, his dad must be a non-Punjabi, and his kids are only 1/4 Punjabi.


Some aunties were saying Amitabh was kayast....maybe that's what his dad is, or his dad could be anything else.

I thought Srivastavas's roots go back to UP, regardless of what part of India they live in? My Srivastava friend told me that all Srivastavas are Kayast.they are spread out all over india, but virtually all kayasthas are originally from bengal, with a handful being native south indians. the entire caste itself was born in bengal.
