Lol its true, if its in a shaadi hall. Government did it cos people were spending too much on weddings. The law has been around for a while and everyone ignored it. But since last year the police just pick up the groom and take him away, cos it was the only way to stop the party. Never seen it myself but it would be hella funny if it happened in front of you.

ahahha that's because they are corrupt there.. the cops in india and pakistan are corrupt, so taking money from people is their second nature... when my mom and me went back.. we had to pay them around 300 dollars just because apparently we went too fast on the green light :S wtf... he held out his handkerchief and went, ill give u a ticket for this.. my mom handed him money we were free to go... cops there think they have power and they abuse it.. but kissing is not illegal.. ur friend, similar to me and my mom were BAMMMMBOOOOZZLEEEDDDD :rofl:

It's illegal because desi people have a tendency to show off and prepare extravagant banquets of food, most of which is wasted. It is unseemly in a country like Pakistan. It would be equally as unseemly in a country such as India.
