approaching random girls on the street isn't the most comfortable way to meet someone new....but if a guy is never going to see the girl ever again...my advice would be to make it brief and be honest.. with something like

"Hi, nice to meet you, my name is T.Dimera. I noticed you and I wanted to introduce myself. I would like to get to know you a little better, whats the best way we can keep in touch?" (the convo would be a little more then this, but you get the idea)

I think if a guy is honest, sincere, upfront, and confident. ..Women are intelligent and can tell if a guy is saying the same lines to every girl...if a guy is genuine, it definatley sets him apart

The concept of divorce is not accepted yet in as a whole desi culture, in fact one of the primary reason why children are told top marry other desis is to avoid divorce and perserve "culture". Many people that go about divorce seem to be socially ostracized (at least from what I've seen..then again we may live in two very diff worlds). I will say it's gaining acceptance though just as the concept of asking a person for a phone number, which is where the two would relate.

As for the "judging the book by the cover" statement", it was made under the mistaken assumption (my apologies for the misunderstanding...been called white-washed way too many times:)) that you were against the concept of asking for number, as opposed to just the dipshits that should be remanded to a behavior seminar as opposed to interacting with the rest of society by asking for a girl's digits.

Though I do have one point, which is while a lot guys to ask for number from many women, I think it's more driven by the fact that the rate of success is relatively low in making a proper connection. Going with that theiry, rather than put your eggs in own basket, the guy speads out his chances over a large quantity of women with the idea that the more numbers he get's the greater the chances he'll make a connection. If done in a polite and respectable manner, I don't see the the harm. Though it would probably be more difficult to be genuine when interacting with a large group of women, but I'd to think there are some that can do it. :)
